She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Man Nabbed For 'Grab-And-Run' Theft Of Thousands Of Dollars Worth Of Saks Coats, Police Say A 24-year-old man was arrested by Greenwich Police for a September 2017 theft crime from Saks Fifth Avenue. Cleveland Fowler, of New York City, who was sitting in a New Jersey prison on other charges, was transported to Greenwich on Wednesday to face two counts each of larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny for the incident that took place on Sept. 14, 2017, said Greenwich Police Lt. Stamford Man Busted For Pot During Stop A 19-year-old Stamford man was busted by Wilton Police for having a half-ounce of pot and a smoking pipe during a traffic stop. Cristian M. Peralta was given a citation for the drugs on Wednesday, Jan. 9, after police noticed his 2007 Toyota Camry in the parking lot of the Wilton Library with the vehicle's four-way flashers on, said the Wilton Police. Denali Stolen On Greenwich Avenue A Greenwich resident reported a vehicle was stolen from the lot at the bottom of Greenwich Avenue after the key fob was found inside. The vehicle, a 2016 GMC Denali, was stolen on Sunday evening, July 13. An investigation is underway.

Man Wanted For Car Burglaries Arrested On Warrant A 20-year-old Stamford man was nabbed for failure to appear after surrendering himself to Greenwich Police. Camaron Covert was arrested on Friday, Jan. 11, for charges dating back to June 2017 for allegedly breaking into cars, said the Greenwich Police. He subsequently failed to appear for one or more scheduled court appearances and a warrant was issued for his re-arrest. Covert is being held on $50,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Jan. 25.

Bridgeport Men Busted For Pot During Traffic Stop Two Bridgeport men were nabbed by Wilton police for possession of a less than a half-ounce of pot during a traffic stop because the color of the vehicle did not match the plate. The two, Jonathan Cespedes and Jimmy Rivera, were issued infractions after police made the stop on Wednesday, Jan. 9 on Danbury Road, said the Wilton Police. When stopped, Cespedes told officers the DMV had made an error in inputting the color when issuing his registration and a check of the vehicle ID number showed that the numbers did match the vehicle. Reports Of An Unresponsive Driver Lead To Heroin Arrest In Stony Point A 32-year-old was busted for possession of heroin after police received reports of a driver sitting behind the wheel of his car unresponsive. Accused Heroin Dealer Caught In Act In Westchester, Police Say Following a short investigation, an alleged area heroin dealer was caught in the act with officers looking on, police said. David Diaz, 42, of Walden, was arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 16 in Tarrytown, by members of the Greenburgh Drug and Alcohol Task Force following a short-term investigation into drug dealing in the Tarrytown area, said Lt. Woman Used Friend's Debit Card Without Permission, Town Of Poughkeepsie Police Say A 56-year-old woman was arrested for grand larceny following an investigation into a report that she fraudulently used an acquaintances' debit card without authorization. Katrina J. Schaab of Highland was arrested Tuesday, Jan. 15, following the investigation into the October 2018, complaint that she allegedly used a man's debit card to withdraw $270 from his bank account without permission, said Town of Poughkeepsie Police Capt. HS Principal Quits After Video Surfaces Of Incident With Student In New Haven The principal of an area high school abruptly resigned Thursday after a video was posted online earlier in the day that allegedly shows him shoving a student. Morgan Barth led Achievement First Amistad High School in New Haven since 2016. The video was obtained by the New Haven Independent, which said it was from an incident in the fall in which the student was trying to leave a meeting in his office about an earlier altercation.
