She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Comedian Threatened At Club In Connecticut, Police Say A man attending a comedy night learned quickly that threatening the comic on stage was no laughing matter when he ended up in cuffs.Michael Perrone, 34, of Worchester, Massachusetts, was arrested Friday, Feb. 22, by Manchester Police after they responded to the Funny Bone Comedy Club located at the Buckland Hills Mall, said Manchester Police Lt. Missing Westchester Woman Identified In North Carolina Cold Case After 23 Years The body of a woman found 23 years ago in North Carolina has been identified as being a Westchester resident who was reported missing by her family. Stacey Boothe-Wilson, was 33 years old when she was reported missing in October 1995 to Greenburgh Police. Years later, it would be a small DNA sample from a postage stamp provided by Greenburgh police that led the Jacksonville Police Department in North Carolina to identify her remains found all those years ago. Cold Case Cracked: Suspect Nabbed In 16-Year-Old Homicide Of Area Man New York State Police have cracked a 16-year-old cold case murder with the arrest of a 40-year-old Hudson Valley man. Felipe Campos of Middletown was arrested Wednesday, Feb. 27, for the 2003 murder of James Keating of Warwick, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Campos was identified as a suspect in the Keating murder after an extensive investigation by the state police. He was charged with second-degree murder, state police said. Officers Rescue Suicidal Man Near Bridge In Wappingers Falls Two police officers were able to rescue a suicidal man from jumping from a bridge by talking and convincing him not to jump. The incident took place around 12:06 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 26, when the village of Wappingers Falls Police Department received a report that a man was located near the bridge on Route 9D and had made suicidal statements that "he couldn't do this anymore," said Wappingers Falls Police Lt. Two Injured In Rollover I-95 Crash In Westport Two people received injuries during a two-vehicle rollover crash on I-95 in Westport. The crash took place around 6:51 p.m. Tuesday, in Westport, closing the right southbound lane between Exits 18 and 19, said the Connecticut State Police. According to police, the crash occurred when both vehicles, were traveling southbound on I-95 when one of the vehicles veered left for an unknown reason and struck the other vehicle. Road-Rage Driver Indicted In Fatal 7-Eleven Assault A man accused of ramming into a family of eight in front of a 7-Eleven store in Garnerville, killing the pregnant mother, has been indicted by a Rockland County grand jury. Wallkill Correction Officer Caught Trying To Bring K2 Into Prison, Police Say A state corrections officer has resigned after he was allegedly nabbed for attempting to bring synthetic marijuana or "K2" into a prison where he was employed. Travon Webb, 30, of Ellenville, was arrested on Monday, Feb. 25, after it was discovered during a search of employees entering the Wall Kill Correctional Facility that he was attempting to bring in some 64 grams of K2, said New York State Police Trooper Steven Nevel. Couple Steals $20K Worth Of Items At CT Homes, Police Say A Naugatuck couple accused in the 2017 theft of thousands of dollars worth of items from a dead Ansonia woman's home have pleaded not guilty. Christopher Lanci, 26, and Samantha Lanci, 23, are also accused of using keys found in the home to break into the woman's daughter's home, according to information obtained by the Connecticut Post. Three Alleged Shoplifters Tracked Down After Incident At CVS In Riverside Three people were nabbed for alleged shoplifting at a CVS store in Riverside after police were able to track down the vehicle involved. Officers were called around 2:55 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, to the store in Riverside Commons, but the suspects had already fled the area in a black vehicle, said Greenwich Police. Smoke In Cabin Leads To Plane's Emergency Landing At Bradley Airport An American Airlines aircraft made an emergency landing Tuesday at Bradley International Airport after smoke was reported in the cabin. The Boeing 738 traveling from Bradley International Airport to Chicago returned to Bradley Airport due to a mechanical issue, said Alisa Sisic, spokesperson for Bradley International. The plane with reportedly 138 people on board landed safely without any injuries. The emergency landing did not have any impact to airport operations, Sisic added.
