Smoke In Cabin Leads To Plane's Emergency Landing At Bradley Airport An American Airlines aircraft made an emergency landing Tuesday at Bradley International Airport after smoke was reported in the cabin. The Boeing 738 traveling from Bradley International Airport to Chicago returned to Bradley Airport due to a mechanical issue, said Alisa Sisic, spokesperson for Bradley International.  The plane with reportedly 138 people on board landed safely without any injuries. The emergency landing did not have any impact to airport operations, Sisic added.

26-Year-Old Charged In Home Burglary Police arrested a 26-year-old man in connection with a burglary of a Milford home earlier this year. Christopher Carr, of Milford, was arrested on Saturday, Feb. 23, on a warrant for the Jan. 10 robbery of a Milford home in an effort to allegedly steal money, said the Milford Police. While breaking into the house, Carr allegedly caused more than $700 worth of damage to the residence, police said. Carr was charged with burglary, criminal mischief, and larceny. He is being held on $25,000 bond.

Teixeira, 48, was found unconscious inside his vehicle around 2:58 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23 in the area of 59 East Market St., said Hyde Park Police Chief Robert Benson. Man Who Violated Protective Order Charged With Assault A 55-year-old local man was busted for assault after allegedly throwing an ashtray and other items at a person who had a protective order against him. Miguel Colon, of Milford, was arrested around 4:45 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 24, after Milford Police responded to an address on Old Gate Lane in Milford, said the Milford Police. Two Major Greenwich Roadways Closed Police are warning motorists to avoid two main roadways in Greenwich that are closed in sections due to downed trees and wires. As of 4:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 25, North Street is closed by Hurlingham Drive due to a fallen tree and wires, according to dispatch reports. In addition, high winds have brought down another tree and wires, closing King Street between Anderson Hill Road and Stonehedge Drive. Police did not know how long repairs will take. Local Man Arrested In Connection With Washingtonville Burglary A Middletown man was arrested by police in connection with a burglary earlier in February. Mikell Phillips was arrested by Washingtonville Police for a burglary that took place on Wednesday, Feb. 13 on Weathervane Drive, said the Washingtonville Police. After responding to the incident, an investigation led officers to Phillips who has been charged with burglary, criminal possession of stolen property, and petit larceny, police said. He was arraigned and is being held at the Orange County Jail with a return court date of March 13.
