She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Four From Poughkeepsie Charged In Connection With Murder Four men from Poughkeepsie were arraigned Wednesday on felony charges in connection with a fatal shooting in Newburgh. Steven Williams, 29, and Donnell Johnson, 24, were charged with second-degree murder and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon, tampering with physical evidence; possession of a revolver, and a host of other charges. Showtime Series With Kevin Bacon Films In Westchester Stargawkers will want to head for White Plains City Hall on Thursday, Feb. 28 to see if they can catch of a glimpse of actor Kevin Bacon as he films part of his new Showtime series. Suspect Arrested In Connection With 2016 Greenwich Burglary Police have made an arrest in connection with a 2016 burglary in the Byram section of Greenwich. Darren Simpson, 53, of Poughkeepsie, was extradited from the Westchester County Jail on Tuesday, Feb. 26, in connection with the Oct. 18, 2016 robbery on North Water Street, Greenwich police said. He was charged with burglary and criminal mischief. Simpson is being held on $150,000 bond.

Two Dogs Die During Monroe House Fire Two dogs died and one firefighter suffered minor injuries during a house fire that broke out in Monroe early Wednesday morning. The fire started around 8 a.m., on lower Pepper Street, said Deputy Fire Chief Kevin Catalano. When firefighters arrived on the scene they found heavy fire and received reports of a possible person trapped inside, the chief said. Firefighters, including Monroe, Stepney, Stevenson volunteer fire department, were quickly able to determine that no one was inside, but two dogs did perish in the blaze, he said. Norwalk Man Caught With 70 Bags Of Heroin In Stamford A Norwalk man was nabbed with 70 bags of heroin following a tip to the Narc squad that he would be in Stamford to make a deal. Joshua Cordero, aka "Dimitri", 27, was busted around 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, after officers in the Narcotics and Organized Crime squad heard that he would be in town to sell some heroin, said Stamford Police Capt. Garbage Truck Driver Ticketed After Route 59 Crash Leaves One Critical A garbage truck driver has been issued a total of 12 summonses following a crash that left one person in critical condition. Woman Attempting To Park Outside Bank Crashes Into Building In Hopewell Junction, Police Say A woman attempting to park at a bank in Hopewell Junction jumped the curb and drove into the building.
