She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Two Busted With High-Capacity Gun, Drugs, Ski Masks At Stamford Home Two men well-known to police were nabbed for alleged possession of a high-powered gun during a search warrant raid at a Stamford home. Jaden Brayboy, 18, and Tyrik Gill, 20, both of Stamford, were arrested Sunday around 8:30 p.m. following a search of a home on Finney Lane by the Stamford Police Department's Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit and SRT Team, said Stamford Police Capt. House Destroyed After Fire Breaks Out In Northern Westchester A 3,000-square-foot Northern Westchester home was destroyed by fire as firefighters battled high winds and had to truck in water. The Goldens Bridge Fire Department received the call for the fire around 8:23 p.m. Sunday at 8 Manor Drive, said Assistant Chief Al Melillo. When crews arrived on the scene they found a fully-involved fire in the large home. Water had to be trucked in by numerous fire departments from a pond on Fairmont Road, the chief said. Service Scheduled For Mother Killed In 7-Eleven Road-Rage Attack Services have been announced for Melissa DeLoatch, the pregnant Rockland mother of six children who was killed last week by an enraged man who had been asked to stop smoking. A visitation will be held for DeLoatch, 32, from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Ann's Church at 16 Jefferson St. in Nyack. A funeral will follow at the church at 11, announced Hannemann Funeral Home. Traffic Alert: I-84 Crash Causes Stop-Go Delays, Route 32 Reopens After Downed Pole This story has been updated. Motorists had to endure two major slowdowns on I-84 and Route 32 in Orange County. The rollover crash occurred around 9:32 a.m. Monday on I-84 eastbound near Ext 8B in Newburgh. State police traffic is getting by, but traffic is backed-up and slowdowns are occurring. Route 32 was closed in Cornwall from Route 107/Quaker Avenue. and Route 65/Angola Road, due to a downed utility pole and wires from late in the morning until just before 6 p.m.

Bronx River Parkway Reopens Following Crash The Bronx River Parkway in White Plans has reopened following a southbound crash that closed the roadway for more than an hour. The two-car crash occurred around 9 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25 near Exit 23 and at Old Tarrytown Road in Greenburgh, said Kieran O'Leary with the Westchester County Police. One of the vehicles rolled over and the female driver was entrapped. The Fairview Fire Department responded to assist with getting the woman out of the car. Woman Receives Multiple Injuries After Being Trapped In Valley Cottage Crash A Rockland woman received multiple injuries after being heavily trapped inside a vehicle following a one-vehicle crash. Clarkstown Police responded to the crash around 4 a.m. Sunday after receiving word that a tree had struck a tree on Route 9W in Valley Cottage, the Clarkstown Police said. According to police the car exited the roadway and struck a tree. The car was occupied by a male driver and a 23-year-old female passenger from Haverstraw, Clarkstown police said. Mount Kisco Woman, 23, Charged With DWI After Crash In Yorktown A Mount Kisco woman faces DWI charges after allegedly slamming her vehicle into a tree while driving drunk. Madelin I. Bu Munoz, 23, was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 20 around 10:20 p.m. after Yorktown Police received a call from a resident of Hanover Street reporting a vehicle crash, said the Yorktown Police. Westchester Man Charged With Violating Order Of Protection In Greenwich A 46-year-old Westchester man was arrested for violating two orders of protection in Greenwich. Jermaine Powell of Port Chester was arrested on Friday, Feb. 15, after Greenwich Police were called to a home in Byram for a report of a verbal altercation, said Greenwich Police. When officers arrived they found that Powell had violated an order the two victims had filed against him by being at the residence, police said. He was charged with violation of a protective order and held on $1,000 bond.

Man Nabbed For Gas Station Attempted Armed Robbery In Bridgeport A Bridgeport man was nabbed for allegedly attempting to rob a CITGO gas station at gunpoint. Zachary Hobbs, 61, was arrest by warrant for an attempted armed robbery at the CITGO Gas Station located at 605 Success Avenue, in Stratford, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti. The incident occurred on Feb. 16. During the robbery, Hobbs displayed what appeared to be a handgun but fled the scene when the clerk refused to provide any money, Eannotti said.
