The Goldens Bridge Fire Department received the call for the fire around 8:23 p.m. Sunday at 8 Manor Drive, said Assistant Chief Al Melillo. When crews arrived on the scene they found a fully-involved fire in the large home. Water had to be trucked in by numerous fire departments from a pond on Fairmont Road, the chief said. Westchester Man Charged With Violating Order Of Protection In Greenwich A 46-year-old Westchester man was arrested for violating two orders of protection in Greenwich. Jermaine Powell of Port Chester was arrested on Friday, Feb. 15, after Greenwich Police were called to a home in Byram for a report of a verbal altercation, said Greenwich Police. When officers arrived they found that Powell had violated an order the two victims had filed against him by being at the residence, police said. He was charged with violation of a protective order and held on $1,000 bond.

Man Nabbed For Gas Station Attempted Armed Robbery In Bridgeport A Bridgeport man was nabbed for allegedly attempting to rob a CITGO gas station at gunpoint. Zachary Hobbs, 61, was arrest by warrant for an attempted armed robbery at the CITGO Gas Station located at 605 Success Avenue, in Stratford, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti. The incident occurred on Feb. 16. During the robbery, Hobbs displayed what appeared to be a handgun but fled the scene when the clerk refused to provide any money, Eannotti said.
