Man Critically Injured In Stratford Shooting Stratford police are investigating a shooting that took place on Success Avenue. Police responded to the shooting, at 772 Success Ave.,  around 8:47 p.m., Thursday, March 7, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti. An investigation found that one man had been shot twice in the torso, Eannotti said. K9 Mac is an 18-month- old German Shepard from Hungary that Sheriff Louis Falco purchased using asset forfeiture funds. The new officer is named in remembrance of our department’s recent passing of Detective Al McMahon.  K9 Mac and his handler Officer Angelo Bragaglia will begin K9 Patrol School for the next 16 weeks beginning March 11.

Bullard-Havens HS Lockdown Lifted After Bridgeport Shooting A lockdown at the Bullard-Havens Technical High School in Bridgeport has been lifted following a nearby shooting.The shooting took place around 11 a.m., Friday, March 8, near the intersection of Wessels Avenue and Hoover Street, according to Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department. Several shots were fired into a house on Wessel and a vehicle on the same street where bullet holes were found, Jones said. The fire at 2 Soluri Lane started around 10:29 a.m., Friday, March 8, said the Stony Point Police Department. Smoke and fire are visible from the structure, officials said.
