She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Dump Truck Slams Into Westchester Avenue Overpass A roadway was closed for several hours after a dump truck slammed into an overpass in Harrison. The incident took place around 5:30 p.m., Wednesday, March 6 at 565 Westchester Ave., said the Harrison Police. The roadway had to be closed in both directions until state engineers could come and inspect the damage, police said. The roadway reopened around 10 p.m.

Stolen Car Police Chase On Hutch, I-95 Ends In Crash, Arrest A stolen vehicle pursuit by Westchester County Police led to a crash at Playland Parkway and I-95 in Rye. The incident began around 9:06 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, when an alert by the Westchester County police Real Time Crime Center advised patrol units that a stolen Honda CRV was traveling southbound on the Hutchinson River Parkway, said Kieran O'Leary, spokesman for the Westchester County Police. Disbarred Poughkeepsie Attorney Accused Of Stealing From Clients Faces Felony Charges A Poughkeepsie attorney who was disbarred last week by the state Supreme Court has been charged with "stealing unearned retainer fees from clients," according to Dutchess County District Attorney William V. Grady. Seen Him? State Police Search For Convict With Fairfield County Ties State police are asking the public for help locating a former Bridgeport man who is wanted for violating the terms of his release. Jason Voss, 44, who was convicted on three drug charges, failed to submit a DNA sample, that was required as a condition of his release, state police said. He was arrested three times for possession of marijuana, with the last in 2015. Man Tried To Get Medication With Fake Prescription In Greenwich, Police Say A 20-year-old man was nabbed attempting to fill a fraudulent prescription after the pharmacist became suspicious and called the police. Luis Caballero, of Brooklyn, was arrested by Greenwich Police on Tuesday, March 5, when he returned to pick up the prescription, Greenwich Police said. The incident began when police received a report from a local pharmacy that they had received what they believed to be a fraudulent prescription order. 17 Bridgeport Police Officers Cited For Misconduct In Internal Affairs Probe A report released by the Bridgeport Police Department regarding actions taken by officers during a party in October 2017, has found that 17 officers were involved in some type of wrongdoing. According to the Connecticut Post, five officers and a civilian detention officer used excessive force, and 10 officers lied about their actions while breaking up a house party, an internal investigation found. DWI Hit-Run Driver Nabbed After Crash In Stamford A Stamford man was nabbed for DWI following a hit-and-run crash after the person he struck followed him while he called the police for help. ID Released For Connecticut Avenue Homicide Victim Police have released the identity of a 34-year-old man shot and killed on Connecticut Avenue in Bridgeport. Jerrell Gatewood, of Bridgeport, was shot once around 9:42 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, in the area of 5th Street, said Bridgeport Police Capt. Brian Fitzgerald. He was struck in the torso and collapsed at the scene.
