She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Man Killed In Connecticut Avenue Shooting Police are investigating the shooting death of a 34-year-old man on Connecticut Avenue. The unidentified man was shot once around 9:42 a.m. Tuesday, March 5, in the area of 5th Street, said Bridgeport Police Capt. Family Pets Killed In Beekman House Fire A family lost several pets after a fire ravaged a Beekman home while nobody was home. The fire began around 6 p.m. Monday, March 4, at 65 Pleasant Ridge Road, said Beekman Fire Chief Greg Rayburn.
