Judge Orders Re-Vote On Ex-Clarkstown Police Chief Firing Almost a year-and-half after the Clarkstown Town Council voted to fire suspended Police Chief Michael Sullivan, a State Supreme Court judge has ordered a re-vote due to a conflict of interest in the vote. The ruling, released by Justice Robert Berliner, annulled the Sept. 12, 2017, vote in which Supervisor George Hoehmann and a former councilman should have recused themselves, the ruling said. Parking Enforcement Officer Hit By Vehicle In Westchester A parking enforcement officer struck by a vehicle while he was waiting to cross a roadway in Tarrytown received minor injuries. The incident took place around 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, at Broadway (Route 9) and Main St., when the officer was "clipped" by a vehicle, said Tarrytown Police Lt. Greg Budnar.  The officer, who received leg injuries, was transported to Westchester Medical Center for evaluation, he said. The accident is under investigation. No tickets or summons were issued.

Town Clerk Accused Of Embezzling $20,000 A town clerk in Crawford has been arrested for allegedly embezzling $20,000 from the town over the past several years.
