Popular Dutchess County Man Found Dead At Fishing Spot In Hyde Park A well-known area man was found dead of a possible drowning after authorities responded to a popular fishing spot in Hyde Park. Pleasant Valley resident Bruce R. Daniels, better known as "Bucky," was found around 4:36 p.m., Monday, April 1, following 911 calls to the Hyde Park Police Department for a possible drowning, said Chief Robert Benson. Rollover Crash Injures Three In Westchester Three people were injured during a single-vehicle rollover crash. The crash took place around 10:47 p.m., Monday, April 1, at the intersection of Yonkers Avenue and Sweetfield Circle, said Yonkers Police Det. Sgt. Dean Politopoulos. First responders had to rescue people trapped in a car, but the injuries were considered non-life-threatening, he added. The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Route 9 Rollover Crash Injures One, Closes Roadway All lanes of Route 9 are open following a crash that closed the roadway for several hours in Fishkill and injured one person. The rollover crash took place around 7 a.m., Tuesday, April 2, in the southbound lane of Route 9 in Fishkill, said the Town of Fishkill Police. The crash brought down a utility pole when the vehicle overturned, police said. Woman Accused Of Arson After Poughkeepsie Fire That Resulted In One Hospitalization A Poughkeepsie woman has been arrested for arson in connection with a fire that left five people homeless. Marjorie P. Savoy, 29, was charged with felony arson following an investigation into the fire that started around 9:12 p.m., Sunday, March 31, at the Corlies Manor Apartments, 465 Maple St., said City of Poughkeepsie Police Det. Woman Charged In Prostitution Sting At Northern Westchester Spa A 56-year-old woman was busted for alleged prostitution during a sting operation at a Northern Westchester spa. Woman Allegedly Forged Employer’s Check, Westport Police Say A 32-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly forging an employer's check in order to pay her rent, said Westport Police. Karina Ortega of Bridgeport was arrested on Wednesday, March 27, after the victim came to Bridgeport Police headquarters to report a stolen check, said Westport Police Lt. Jillian Cabana. The victim reported one of her employees, Ortega, stole one of her business checks, forged her signature and then gave it to a third party to settle an outstanding debt, Cabana said. Person Found Dead On Metro-North Tracks In Westchester Metro-North officials are investigating after a person was found dead on the tracks at a train station in the area The body was discovered around 10:46 p.m., Monday, April 1, when the crew of a westbound train from Stamford to Grand Central Station reported a deceased person on the tracks at the Mount Vernon East Train Station, said MTA officials. Alert Issued For Man Wanted In Connection To Bank Robbery Police are asking the public for help in locating a man wanted in connection with a bank robbery. Richard Herbert, 61, of Bridgeport, is wanted by the Bridgeport Police and U.S. Marshals Service Violent Fugitive Task Force for an outstanding warrant for a bank robbery that occurred in Bridgeport, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police Department. Fire Destroys Montebello Home A home under construction was destroyed by a fire. Ramapo police said the fire that started around 5;15 a.m., Sunday, March 31 at 22 Canterbury Lane in the Village of Montebello. "The home was under construction and is believed to be unoccupied," Ramapo police said on Facebook around 6 a.m. Sunday. Dozens Of Shots Fired In Bridgeport, Three Vehicles Struck Three vehicles were struck when dozens of shot were fired in Bridgeport over the weekend. Bridgeport police received a report of shots fired around 6:48 p.m., Saturday, March 30, at Knowlton Street, and Armstrong Place, said Rowena White, spokeswoman for the Bridgeport Police Department.
