Construction Vehicle Crash Closes Westport Roadway Morningside Drive South in Westport was closed in front of Greens Farms Elementary due to an accident involving a construction vehicle. A utility pole was struck during the one-vehicle crash that took place early afternoon on Wednesday, Sept. 25, said Westport Police Lt. Anthony Prezioso. The operator received a minor injury, he said. The road will remain closed until Eversource can assess the damage and make repairs. Woman Nabbed Two Years After Attempting To Use Counterfeit Cash At Southampton 7-Eleven A 30-year-old woman was nabbed two years after attempting to use counterfeit cash at an area 7-Eleven. Kaylynn Dyer, of Brooklyn, was arrested on Tuesday, Sept. 24, by Southampton Police for the incident which took place in 2017, said Southampton Lt. Susan Ralph.
