Driver Arrested Following County-To-County Police Chase On Meadowbrook State Parkway A Hempstead man was arrested following a police pursuit that began in Nassau County and ended in Suffolk County all the while ramming a vehicle on the Meadowbrook State Parkway. Woman Arrested For Failing To Pay Ticket For Causing Public Disturbance, Cops Say A 27-year-old area woman was arrested for failing to pay a ticket after being stopped for a routine traffic violation. Raneisha Wright of Bridgeport was arrested on Sunday, Oct. 13, by the Newtown Police when officers determined that she had an active warrant, said Newtown Police Lt. Aaron Bahamonde. The warrant stemmed from Bridgeport and failure to pay for a ticket for creating a public disturbance, police said. Wright was arrested and charged with one count of failure to appear to an infraction. She was released on $100 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, Oct. 24.…

Motorcycle Crash Leaves 17-Year-Old Girl Severely Injured A 17-year-old girl was severely injured after losing control of a motorcycle she was driving. The crash took place around 3:25 p.m., Monday, Oct. 14 in Dutchess on Manor Road in the town of Red Hook, said the Red Hook Police Department on Facebook.  When Red Hook officers arrived on the scene they located the 17-year-old female semiconscious and suffering from serious injuries from the crash.
