Intoxicated Woman Standing In Roadway Blocking Traffic Arrested, Police Say An intoxicated woman was arrested for disorderly conduct after police allegedly found her in the middle of a roadway acting out and blocking traffic. The incident took place in Ulster County around 11:23 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 17, when Saugerties Police responded to Partition Street for a reported assault at Mirabella’s Restaurant, said Saugerties Chief Joseph Sinagra. Woman Charged With Manslaughter After Crash Kills Pedestrian A 27-year-old woman has been charged with manslaughter after allegedly hitting and killing a man who was crossing a busy roadway in the area. The incident took place around 1:30 a.m., Friday, Oct. 18, when police responded to the scene of the fatal crash in Bridgeport at 430 Barnum Ave., said Terron Jones, a spokesman for the Bridgeport Police. Know Him? Police Searching Area For Taxi Cab Robber Police are asking the public for help identifying a man who allegedly robbed a taxi cab driver. The incident took place in Norwalk on Wednesday, Oct. 16, when the man got a ride from an Eveready Taxi Cab driver at the Darien Train Station and requested to be dropped off at Stop & Shop on Connecticut Avenue in Norwalk, said Norwalk Police Lt. Family Hits Back At Attorney's Claim Mom Received Medical Treatment After Going Missing The family and friends of missing Fairfield County mother of five Jennifer Farber Dulos say claims that she sought medical treatment since she was reported missing are "absurd." Spring Valley Teen Arrested After Making 'Fake' School Shooting Call A Spring Valley teen was arrested for making a fake phone call to Spring Valley High School about a possible school shooting. Spring Valley Police responded to the school around 11: 40 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 17, after the school reported the call to the police, said Spring Valley Officer Matthew Galli. Driver Arrested Following County-To-County Police Chase On Meadowbrook State Parkway A Hempstead man was arrested following a police pursuit that began in Nassau County and ended in Suffolk County all the while ramming a vehicle on the Meadowbrook State Parkway. The incident began around 9:38 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 16, when New York State Police responded to a call of an ongoing incident on the parkway, said Trooper Daniel Ahlgrim, spokesman for the department. Woman Arrested For Failing To Pay Ticket For Causing Public Disturbance, Cops Say A 27-year-old area woman was arrested for failing to pay a ticket after being stopped for a routine traffic violation. Raneisha Wright of Bridgeport was arrested on Sunday, Oct. 13, by the Newtown Police when officers determined that she had an active warrant, said Newtown Police Lt. Aaron Bahamonde. The warrant stemmed from Bridgeport and failure to pay for a ticket for creating a public disturbance, police said. Long Island Expressway Reopens Following Crash Involving Police Cruiser A stretch of the Long Island Expressway has reopened after being closed for several hours following a crash between two vehicles and a Suffolk County Police cruiser.
