She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Arrest Made In Burglaries of Fairfield County Landscaping Company A 47-year-old man was nabbed in connection with two burglaries over the span of two years at the same landscaping business. Michael Petro, 47, of Wolcott, was arrested on Friday, Oct. 25, for allegedly robbing a Wilton landscaping company in 2018, and again in 2019, said Wilton Police Lt. Robert Kluk. Officer Injured After Attack At Correctional Facility In Area An officer at an area correctional facility was injured after being attacked by an inmate. The incident happened in Dutchess County at Green Haven Correctional Facility in Stormville took place on Monday, Oct. 28, resulting in several non-life threatening injuries, said DOCCS spokesperson Thomas Mailey. Man Airlifted To Westchester Medical Center After Being Hit By Metro-North Train A man received serious injuries to his leg after being struck by a work train heading north to Poughkeepsie. The incident took place around 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 26, near the Metro-North Breakneck Ridge Station, said Meredith Daniels, a spokeswoman for the MTA.  When police and first responders arrived on the scene they found the man had sustained leg injuries and he was airlifted to Westchester Medical Center, Daniels said. Trains on the Hudson Line were delayed 15 to 20 minutes as a result of the incident. The MTA police are investigating the incident.

Woman Rescued After Rollover Rockland Crash A trapped driver was rescued by first responders after a rollover crash in the Rockland The incident took place in the village of Montebello around 4:40 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 27, on River Road, said the Ramapo Police. Pleasantville Woman Charged With Driving Under Influence After Greenwich Crash A Pleasantville woman was arrested on a warrant for a crash that took place in July in Fairfield County. Deanne Jamal, 77, was arrested on Monday, Oct. 21, after turning herself into police on the warrant stemming from a crash that took place on July 5, said Greenwich Police. Jamal was charged with failure to drive right and DUI/drugs. She was released on a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 4.
