Update: Suspicious Packages Left Behind By Vendor At Metro-North Station In Westchester A full force of police along with a bomb squad turned out when four suspicious packages were found at a Metro-North station in Westchester. The incident took place around 3:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 24 Station Plaza N., said MTA officials. Members of the Westchester County Bomb Squad and MTA Police Canine Unit cleared the package by 4:30 p.m., said MTA Spokeswoman Meredith Daniels.  According to Daniels, the packages were left behind by a vendor.

Search On For Suspect After Woman Raped While Walking Home, Stamford Police Say Police are looking for a man who raped a woman who had been walking home and are asking the public for help. Stamford Police Sgt. Jennifer Lynch said a woman in her 20s was raped around 12:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 24, while walking home in the area of East Main Street and Lockwood Avenue. The woman, who went to the hospital following the attack, was able to provide police with a basic description of her attacker, Lynch said. Roadway Reopens Following Two-Vehicle Crash With Injuries In Northern Westchester Goat Trail at Route 202 (Bear Mountain Bridge Road) has reopened following a two-vehicle crash that injured several people in Cortlandt. The crash took place around 3 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 29 near the overlook, New York State Police said. Goat Trail was closed for a time for emergency responders to attend to the injured. It has since reopened, but some delays exist, state police said. Officers were not sure of the number of injured or the severity of injuries. Jahheed John, 22, of Norwalk, was arrested around 10 p.m., Monday, Oct. 28, after Bridgeport Police ran the plates of an Acura TL that was a suspected stolen vehicle, said Terron Jones, spokesman for the Bridgeport Police.  After running the plates through the database, the car was confirmed to be stolen.
