Roadway Remains Closed For Replacement Of Downed Utility Poles Town of Greenburgh police are advising drivers that Pipeline Drive is temporarily closed while repairs are made to two utility poles. The poles were damaged on Tuesday, Nov. 12, during a crash by a Town of Greenburgh vehicle. The road reopened for the evening rush hour, but was closed again Wednesday, Nov. 13 as Con Ed resumed work. ID Released For Construction Worker Killed In Norwalk Fall A construction worker who fell to his death while working during the early morning hours on the SoNo Collection in Norwalk has been identified. Lorgio Jimenez-Suarez, 52, of Astoria, fell around 2:39 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 12, at the new shopping area located at 100 North Water Street, said Lt. Terry Blake with the Norwalk Police Department. Blake said Jimenez-Suarez fell from an elevated height. Arriving officers rendered aid to Jimenez-Suarez, who was transported to the Norwalk Hospital by ambulance where he later died, Blake said. 31-Year-Old LI Man Struck, Killed On Sunrise Highway A 31-year-old man was killed after he was hit by another vehicle as he exited his disabled pickup truck on Sunrise Highway. Shawn Devlin, of Mastic Beach, was killed around 5:20 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13, in Sayville, said the Suffolk County Police. According to police, Devlin was driving a 1992 Chevrolet pickup truck on the on-ramp to westbound Sunrise Highway between Broadway and Lincoln Avenue in Sayville when his vehicle experienced mechanical issues. ID Released For Woman Found Dead Inside LI Home Following Fire A woman found dead inside a Bayville home that burned has been identified by police. Sonia Baron, 94, of Bayville, was found following a fire at her home on Bayville Park Boulevard around 1:58 p.m., Monday, Nov. 11, said the Nassau County Police. Another resident, a man, was also found inside the home and is listed in critical condition, police said. Employee Assaulted In Armed Robbery At Area Gas Station Police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed an area gas station at gunpoint and assaulted an employee. The incident took place in the Town of Marlborough around 2:25 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 12 at the Sinclair station located at 1364 Route 9W, said the Town of Marlborough Police. ID Released For Man Found By Mother Murdered In Bethel Home The man who was found dead inside the family home by his mother has been identified by the state's chief medical examiner's office. The office said Richard O'Dell, 42, of Apollo Road, in Bethel, died of multiple gunshots wounds to the head. Bethel Police responded to the home around 6:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 11, after a call from O'Dell's mother saying she believed her son had committed suicide. Mark Graff, 54, of Putnam Valley, was killed around 5 p.m., on Monday, Nov. 11, during the crash in LaGrange.on East Noxon Road at the intersection with South Cross Road, said Dutchess County Sheriff's Office Capt. Norwalk Woman Nabbed For DUI After Hitting Two Vehicles In Wilton, Police Say A Norwalk woman was arrested for driving drunk after allegedly crossing the yellow line and hitting two other vehicles. Tina Tong, 22, was arrested on Friday, Nov. 8, following the crash on Danbury Road in Wilton, said the Wilton Police Department. Teen Charged With Rape, Attempted Strangulation Of 19-Year-Old Girl, Police Say A teen was arrested for allegedly raping and attempting to strangle a 19-year-old woman. Devon Austin Payne, of Cragsmoor in Ulster County, was arrested by Town of Montgomery Police following an investigation into the Wednesday, Nov. 6, sexual assault, said Town of Montgomery Police Investigator Stephen Ragni. Payne was charged with felony rape, felony strangulation, aggravated harassment, stalking, assault, and unlawful imprisonment, police said. He was arraigned in the Town of Montgomery Court and remanded to the Orange County Jail.
