She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Street Closures, Parking Restrictions Put In Place As Hulu Series Films In Area While it might be a hassle to maneuver road closures and crowds, area residents might just get a glimpse into Hollywood workings during the filming of a new Hulu series. According to city officials, Hulu will be filming a variety of scenes from its upcoming series " Monsterland," on Tuesday, Nov. 12 through Thursday, Nov. 14 in Kingston. Area Man Arrested In Connection With Fairfield County Woman's Overdose Death A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the overdose death of a Fairfield County woman. Dion Sanders, of Derby, was arrested on Monday, Nov. 11, by Shelton Police for allegedly selling the drugs that resulted in the 25-year-old Shelton woman's Sept. 7 death, said Shelton Police Det. Richard Bango. An investigation by Shelton Detectives revealed that Sanders sold the victim the drugs earlier that day, Bango said. Man Shot In Leg During Bridgeport Drive-By Shooting Bridgeport Police are investigating an overnight drive-by shooting that took place on Wordin Avenue. The department said on Twitter that the incident took place around 11 p.m., Monday, Nov. 11, in the 100 block of Wordin Avenue. One man was hit and received a gunshot wound to the leg, police said. The man’s condition is unknown, but he is expected to survive.

Man Charged In Fatal Shooting Of Woman At Area Apartment Complex A 47-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a woman at an area apartment complex. Carlos A. Rivera, of the City of Newburgh, was arrested Friday, Nov. 8, for the Sept. 21, the murder of Chelsea Debidin, 21, at the Knox Village Apartments, in New Windsor, said the New Windsor Police. Debidin was pronounced dead at the scene and her 20-year-old boyfriend, who survived, was taken to Montefiore St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital, police said. Good Samaritan Lifts Wrecked Vehicle Off Trapped Long Island Teen An anonymous Good Samaritan helped save a teen who lost control of his vehicle and was partially ejected with the car landing on top of him. The crash took place around 10:30 a.m., Monday, Nov. 11, when 18-year-old James Cermak, of Medford, was driving a 2000 Toyota pickup truck eastbound on Veterans Memorial Highway, said the Suffolk County Police. Fentanyl-Laced Cocaine Kills One, Three Overdose In Area, Police Say Police are reporting that one person died and another three suffered overdoses after allegedly taking cocaine laced with Fentanyl in Ulster County. The incident took place on Saturday, Nov. 9, when the Kingston Police Patrol and Detective divisions responded to a call regarding multiple overdoses at an area home. When officers arrived on the scene, they found one person dead and three others that required immediate medical attention, the Kingston Police said. Worker Killed In Fall At Norwalk's SoNo Collection A construction worker fell to his death while working during the early morning hours on the SoNo Collection in Norwalk. The unidentified man fell around 2:39 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 12, at the new shopping area located at 100 North Water Street, said Lt. Terry Blake with the Norwalk Police Department. Blake said the man fell from an elevated height. Arriving officers rendered aid to the man, who was transported to the Norwalk Hospital by ambulance where the man later died, Blake said. Man Charged With BWI In Long Island Boat Crash That Killed One, Injured Three An East Northport man has been charged with boating while intoxicated following a powerboat crash that left one woman dead and three others injured. Francesco Distefano, 48, was charged on Monday, Nov. 11, following the Sunday, Nov. 10 crash that took place around 9:17 p.m. when a 39-foot Cobalt powerboat he was allegedly piloting smashed into a bulkhead fronting on Great Peconic Bay, Southhold Police said. Two Teens Charged For Series Of Thefts In Northern Westchester Police are thanking the public for their help in identifying the suspects wanted in connection with a business burglary and thefts from multiple vehicles. Owner Of Loose Dog Running Around Westchester Lowe's Store Gets Handed Ticket The owner of a loose dog running around the premises of a Lowe's store in Westchester ended up with a ticket and a date to appear in court. The incident took place on Wednesday, Nov. 6 in Yorktown, when police received a call from a Lowe's employee that a dog was "running at large," on the premises. Once on the scene, officers found a blond-colored lab-mixed type dog running around the store. The dog's owner, Darly Bravo, 21, of Yorktown, was located and issued a ticket for the violation of allowing dogs to run at large. She is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, Nov. 21.
