Man Chased Family With Knife After Being Asked To Turn Down Music, Norwalk Police Say
A Norwalk man was arrested after chasing family members with a kitchen knife when they asked him to turn down music he was playing.
Drekwon Battle, 21, of Norwalk, was arrested around 4 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, after Norwalk Police responded to the family's home on Longview Court, Lt. Terry Blake said.
The request to turn down the music angered Battle, who began argue with his family and at one point he grabbed a kitchen knife and began chasing multiple family members around the home while brandishing the knife, police said.

Robbers Hold Two Long Island Employees On Floor At Gunpoint, Police Say
Police are searching for three suspects in connection with an armed robbery in which the victims were held at gunpoint while lying on the floor, police said.
The robbery took place around 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 9, at Universal Envios Corp located on Nassau Road in Roosevelt, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, the three men, wearing hoods that covered their heads and most of their faces, entered the business with one of the men brandishing a handgun.

Stamford Man Charged With DUI After Failing To Drive In Single Lane, Wilton Police Say
A 47-year-old area man was arrested for DUI and other charges following a traffic stop for failing to stay in a single lane.
Leo LaForce, of Stamford, was arrested on Friday, Nov 6, after Wilton Police spotted his 2018 Jaguar F-type traveling south on Danbury Road while failing to maintain a single lane, Wilton Police said.
During a traffic stop, officers found that LaForce allegedly had slurred speech, glassy and bloodshot eyes, with an odor of alcohol coming from his breath, police said.
LaForce agrees to take a field sobriety test which he failed.

Escaped Prisoner Has Been Apprehended, Police Say
Update:
A man who escaped from custody while being held at the Rockland County Courthouse has been apprehended.
Christopher Palumbo, 33, address unknown, escaped around 4 p.m., on Monday, Dec. 9.
Clarkstown Police announced he has been caught at 7:40 p.m. Monday.
"Further information is to follow," Clarkstown Police said.

Area Man Who Allegedly Shot, Killed Another, Calls To Report Crime, Police Say
A 21-year-old area man was found shot to death after the alleged shooter called the police to report the crime.
The shooting took place around 1209 p.m., Monday, Dec. 9, when the City of Poughkeepsie Police received a 911 call from a person reporting he had shot and killed the victim, said Det. Lt. Matt Clark.
Responding officers found the person shot, a 21-year-old City of Poughkeepsie resident, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Clark said.
He was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
