Two Arrested For Running Shoplifting Scam, Greenwich Police Say
Two men, one from Fairfield County and the other from Westchester, were arrested for allegedly running a shoplifting scam in which one would steal an item and the other would return it for cash.
Kasey Hernandez, 27, of Greenwich, and Jeffrey Ricci, 25, of Rye, were arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 10, after undercover officers allegedly saw them engage in the scam, said the Greenwich Police.
According to police, one of the men entered the store with the stolen item that his accomplice had stolen and returned it for cash.

Duo Charged In Fatal Shooting Of 21-Year-Old Area Woman
Two men have been indicted by a grand jury on murder charges for the September shooting death of a 21-year-old college student in New Windsor.
Cornelius Stubbs, 48, and Carlos Rivera, 47, both of Newburgh, were arraigned Friday, Dec. 13, on an indictment charging them with first-degree murder, said the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
Chelsea Debidi, of Walden, was killed at the Knox Village Apartments at the home of her 20-year-old boyfriend’s family.
The boyfriend was also shot and seriously injured, the DA's office said.

Man Nabbed In Connection With Alleged Theft Of Four Personal Watercraft, Newtown Police Say
A 31-year-old area man turned himself in to police after learning he was wanted on a warrant in connection for allegedly stealing four personal watercraft earlier this year.
Jerrysan Rohena, 31, of Waterbury, was arrested on Friday, Dec. 6, for the alleged thefts of the four vehicles worth more than $50,000, said the Newtown Police.
The thefts were in September and October of this year along Lake Lillinonah, Lake Zoar, police said.
After the thefts, a long investigation led to Rohena, who was charged with four counts of larceny, which is a felony.
