Rockland Man Fatally Shot After Fight In Bar, Police Say
A Rockland County man was shot following a fight at a bar in Georgia over the weekend.
Wolf Ruben Valmond, 37, of Spring Valley, was shot Sunday, Dec. 15, after getting into a fight at a bar in St. Simons, Georgia, said the Glynn County police.
Glynn County police said the shooting occurred after the two men got into a physical fight around 12:32 a.m. outside of Rafters on Mallery Street.
When the two men went outside, one of the men, identified as 27-year-old Calvin Jenkins, grabbed a gun from his car and began firing at Valmond, police said.

Teen Who Was Father's Accomplice Sentenced For Fatal Robbery In Area Drug Deal That Went Bad
An 18-year-old who took part as his father's accomplice in a robbery that left one man dead has been sentenced to five years in state prison with an additional five years of post-release supervision.
Maurice Stansberry, Jr., 18, of Kingston, was sentenced on Friday, Dec. 13, after pleading guilty in June to taking part in the robbery, said Ulster County District Attorney D. Holley Carnright.
According to Carnright, the crime took place on Dec. 1, 2018, when Stansberry, his father, Maurice Stansberry, Sr., and Kevin Gardener, went to the Sawkill Trailer Park to buy marijuana.

Greenwich Police Officer Dies Suddenly
A Greenwich police officer died suddenly Tuesday, Dec. 17, during a medical emergency, the department said.
Justin Quagliani, 38, died around 5 a.m., after suffering a medical emergency at his Greenwich residence while off-duty, said the Greenwich Police Department.
Police and Greenwich Emergency Medical Service personnel responded to his residence, attempted lifesaving efforts and then transported him to Greenwich Hospital where he was eventually declared dead, the department said.

ID Released For 22-Year-Old Man Killed In Head-On Northern Westchester Crash
A man killed in a head-on crash in Northern Westchester has been identified.
Diego Trejo, 22, of Pound Ridge, was killed around 9:20 p.m., Monday, Dec. 16, on South Bedford Road, said Bedford Police Lt. Andrew Bellantone.
According to Bellantone, a preliminary investigation found that a 2018 BMW 750I traveling eastbound collided head-on with Trejo's 2004 Acura TSX sedan traveling westbound.
Trejo was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, police said.

'Soda Pop' Admits To Attempted Murder In Area Shooting
A 23-year-old man has pleaded guilty in connection with the attempted murder in the area.
Ryan Discua, aka “Soda Pop,” of New Windsor, pleaded guilty Monday, Dec. 16, also pleaded guilty to criminal possession of a weapon, said the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
During the hearing in Orange County Court, Discua admitted to illegally possessing a loaded 9mm pistol and shooting the other man on Oct. 9, on Williams Street, seriously injuring the victim, the DA's Office said.

Second Arrest Made In Multi-State Retail Theft Ring
Another person has been arrested in connection with a multi-state retail theft ring that allegedly has stolen more than $90,000 in goods.
Jahliil Parrott, 22, of Windsor, was arrested on Monday, Dec. 16, after New Canaan Police traveled to Nassau County, New York, where he was being held on robbery charges, said New Canaan Police Department Lt. Jason Ferraro.
The ring's operation first came to light in Fairfield County in October when three suspects allegedly stole merchandise from the Ralph Lauren Store in New Canaan, stealing more than $300 worth of goods, said Ferraro.
