Two Men, Juvenile Charged With Burglarizing Several Area Homes Two men and a juvenile were nabbed in connection with an alleged series of burglaries in the area. The incident began around 845 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 15, when the Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office responded to the report of a burglary in progress at the Forest Park Estates complex on Anawana Lake Road in the Town of Thompson, said Undersheriff Eric Chaboty. Man Charged With Violating Protective Order In Greenwich A 40-year-old turned himself in to police after learning of a warrant for his arrest in connection with allegedly violating a protective order. Alyson Moraes, of Port Chester, was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 19, and charged with violation of a protective order and harassment, Greenwich Police said. According to police, in October police investigated a report that Moraes had violated a protective order by repeatedly contacting the victim in the order, police said. Moraes posted a $5,000 bond and is scheduled to appear in court at later date.

Diego Trejo, who died Monday,  Dec. 16, was remembered as a kind and gentle soul during a funeral mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Mount Kisco. He was buried at St. Francis Cemetery. Woman Charged With Leaving Scene After Hitting Pedestrian In Northern Westchester, Police Say A 28-year-old woman was arrested for allegedly hitting a pedestrian and then leaving the scene of the accident. Caitlin White, of Putnam Valley, was arrested by Yorktown Police around 6 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 19, after responding to the report of a pedestrian hit, said Yorktown Police. The pedestrian was transported to Westchester Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. $1 Million Mega Millions Ticket Sold At Stop & Shop On Long Island​ There will be plenty of holiday cheer for one lucky Long Islander who won a $1 million in the lottery's Mega Millions game. According to the New York Lottery, the ticket full of joy was sold in East Hampton at the Stop & Shop, located at 67 Newtown Lane for the Tuesday, Dec. 17th game. A single Mega Millions ticket sold in Ohio matched all six numbers for the big win of $375 million.  The winning numbers for Tuesday's game were 22, 30, 53, 55 and 56, plus the Mega Ball 16.
