Two Busted For Reporting Truck Theft And Allegedly Torching Vehicle, Monroe Police Say
Two men were arrested on arson charges following an investigation into an event that took place in October regarding the theft of a vehicle.
Matthew Bittner, 38, of Monroe, and Joseph Bogdanyi, 32, Seymour, were arrested Monday, Dec. 23, by Monroe Police following an investigation into the reported theft and arson of a vehicle.
According to Monroe Police, on Oct. 23, the department received a report of a vehicle on fire in the driveway of 35 Corporate Drive in Monroe.

Westchester Man Involved In I-287 Crash Had BAC More Than Twice Legal Limit, Police Say
A Westchester man was arrested for DWI following a crash for allegedly driving at twice the legal limit.
Richard Atkins, 58, of White Plains, was arrested around 3:15 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 21, following a one-vehicle crash on I-287 in White Plains, said Trooper Tara McCormick, spokesperson for the New York State Police.
When troopers arrived on the scene of the crash, Atkins was found allegedly be intoxicated, state police said.

Steering Wheel Fight Leads To Arrest Of Two In Area
A domestic dispute led to a passenger in a vehicle allegedly grabbing the steering wheel while the car was in motion and a tussle followed.
Jose Navarrette, 48, and Mariah Powell, 20, both of Ansonia, were arrested on Saturday, Dec. 21, by Milford Police in the Walmart parking lot, said the Milford Police.
According to police, during a verbal argument, Powell allegedly grabbed the steering wheel and Navarrette pushed her away.
Both were charged with disorderly conduct and released on a promise to appear in court.
Man Allegedly Allowed Minors To Drink At Large Party In Wilton, Police Say
A 59-year-old man was arrested after allegedly allowing minors to drink during a large party in the area.
Patrick Cropper, 59, of Wilton, was arrested on Friday, Dec. 20, when Wilton Police officers were dispatched to the area of Sturges Ridge Road for a report of a suspicious vehicle, police said.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found that a party was taking place and when they approached the residence, a large group of people were seen running into an adjacent property, Wilton Police said.

Man, 48, Arrested After Allegedly Fleeing From Police, Leading To Chase In Fairfield County
A man was picked up on a warrant for reckless driving after taking police on a chase in Fairfield County.
Christian Prince, 48, of Stamford, was arrested by Stamford Police on a warrant out of Greenwich for an incident that took place on Nov. 30, said the Greenwich Police.
According to police, On Saturday, Nov. 30, around 2:30 a.m., Prince was allegedly driving in an erratic manner in a neighborhood on the west of side of Greenwich when officers attempted to make a traffic stop.
