ID Released For Pilot Killed After Plane Bound For Westchester Airport Crashes
A man killed when a small plane headed for Westchester County Airport crashed into a home in Maryland has been identified.
Gordon Allen, 61, of Bronx, died about 3:10 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 29, when the Grumman American AA-5A plane he was piloting crashed in College Park, located in Prince George's County, said the Maryland State Police.
According to a preliminary investigation, the plane had departed the College Park Airport just minutes prior to crashing.

Man Nabbed Attempting To Rip Off Tires, Rims From Westport Honda Dealership, Police Say
A man wearing a black ski mask, gloves and carrying a backpack was nabbed for allegedly attempting to rip off tires and rims at a Westport car dealership.
Robert Mebane, Jr., 28, of Stratford, was arrested around 3:30 a.m., Monday, Dec. 16, after Westport Police received a call from an alarm monitoring service for Honda of Westport, that a suspicious person could be seen on the surveillance video camera footage of the business, said Westport Police Lt. Suspect Nabbed Attempting To Withdraw Cash Using Another Person's ID, Greenwich Police Say
A 55-year-old man was nabbed by Greenwich Police for allegedly attempting to withdraw money from an area bank while allegedly using another person identification.
Keith Hill, of New York City, was arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 17, after Greenwich Police were called to a local bank for a report of a fraud in progress, said the Greenwich Police.
According to police, Hill entered the bank and allegedly gave the teller another person's identification and attempted to make a withdrawal from their account, police said.
