Suspect On Loose After Robbing Long Island 7-Eleven With Large Butcher Knife, Reports Say A Long Island 7-Eleven store was reportedly robbed by a man with a large knife, according to multiple sources. The incident took place around 1:45 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 31, at the store located at 358 Mooney Pond Road, in Farmingville, said the Suffolk County Police. According to Long Island News12, the robbery reportedly occurred when the man entered the store with a large butcher knife and demanded cash. Detectives did not confirm the use of a knife. The incident is under investigation, police said.

Man Found Dead At Greenwich Point A man believed to be in his mid 70s was found dead at Greenwich Point. The man's body was discovered late on Monday, Dec. 30, a short distance away from a car that was left unattended with its doors open during a rainstorm, said the Greenwich Police. The cause and manner of the man's death will be determined by the medical examiner, police said. However, at this time, there does not appear to be any foul play involved, they added.
