Video: Man Live-Streaming Himself Driving 100 MPH Crashes Car On I-95, State Police Say Sometimes a trooper’s accident report writes itself.  Connecticut State Police said the operator of a vehicle was kind enough to publicly live stream himself traveling on Interstate 95 over the Gold Star Memorial Bridge near Montville while driving at speeds reaching 100 mph before crashing. Click here to view the video. The posted speed limit for the Gold Star Memorial Bridge is 55 mph.  "Speeding and live streaming are not only dangerous, but it is also illegal," the department said. Luckily, the driver was wearing his seatbelt and wasn't seriously injured.

Police say the car was heading eastbound on the interstate in East Fishkill on Monday, Dec. 30 when it went off the roadway into the center median and caught fire. They say the 41-year-old driver was apparently going at an unsafe speed in icy conditions. The Southeast woman was taken to Danbury Hospital with minor injuries.

Suspect On Loose After Robbing Long Island 7-Eleven With Large Butcher Knife, Reports Say A Long Island 7-Eleven store was reportedly robbed by a man with a large knife, according to multiple sources. The incident took place around 1:45 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 31, at the store located at 358 Mooney Pond Road, in Farmingville, said the Suffolk County Police. According to Long Island News12, the robbery reportedly occurred when the man entered the store with a large butcher knife and demanded cash. Detectives did not confirm the use of a knife. Man Found Dead At Greenwich Point A man believed to be in his mid 70s was found dead at Greenwich Point. The man's body was discovered late on Monday, Dec. 30, a short distance away from a car that was left unattended with its doors open during a rainstorm, said the Greenwich Police. The cause and manner of the man's death will be determined by the medical examiner, police said. However, at this time, there does not appear to be any foul play involved, they added.
