Teen Charged With Making Online Threat To Middle School In Area
A 13-year-old teen has been charged in connection with making an alleged online threat aimed at students at an Orange County school.
The teen, from Caton, Ohio, allegedly sent the online threat around noon on Monday, Dec. 9, resulting in a lockdown at Monhagen Middle School in Middletown, said the Town of Wallkill Police.
The threat also caused a lockdown at the Maple Hill Elementary School located next door on Route 78, police said.
After the threat, the police responded to the school in large numbers to ensure the safety of students.

Red-Light Runner Nabbed For DWI, Driving With Revoked License In Rockland, Police Say
A 35-year-old man was nabbed for alleged DWI and driving without a license after he was spotted by police running a red light.
Raymond Boccellari was arrested around 2:31 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 4, after an Orangetown Police officer spotted him running a "steady" red light on East Central Avenue in Pearl River, said the Orangetown Police.
During the stop, officers determined that Boccellari, of Dumont, New Jersey, was driving in an intoxicated condition and his driver's license was revoked due to a previous DWI conviction in 2018, police said.

LI Woman Uses Golf Club To Break Windows, Attacks Homeowner During Burglary, Police Say
A 27-year-old Long Island woman was nabbed by police for allegedly using a golf club to break windows at a home and before attacking the homeowner when confronted.
Taylor Johnson, of Massapequa Park, was arrested around 4 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 5, at the home on Sunrise Street in Plainview, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, Johnson allegedly used a golf club to break windows to a residence on Sunrise Street. When confronted by the homeowner, she hit the 52-year-old male victim in the head with the club, causing an abrasion, pain, and swelling.

$50,000 Reward Being Offered In Fatal Shooting Case
Police are offering a $50,000 reward and asking the public for help locating the killer or killers of a local man who was shot and killed while sitting in a vehicle in Stratford.
Eduardo Concepcion, 30, of Bridgeport, was killed around 2:20 a.m., on Jan. 12, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti.
According to police, Concepcion was sitting in a vehicle in on Regency Terrace when two unknown assailants approached and a verbal argument ensued.
At some point during the argument, several shots were fired into the car killing Concepcion, Eannotti said.

Northern Westchester Teen Charged With DWI After Crashing Into Woods, Police Say
A 19-year-old man was arrested after allegedly driving his vehicle into a wooded area while driving drunk.
Franklin Martinez, of Peekskill, was arrested around 10:43, p.m., on Tuesday, Dec. 31, after Yorktown Police responded to a report of a vehicle in the woods on Hanover St., said the Yorktown Police.
When officers responded to the scene, they found Martinez was allegedly drunk, was driving without a license, and had committed several traffic violations, police said.
A breath test showed Martinez was driving with a blood-alcohol level over 0.8 percent, police said.

Trio Charged With Trespassing After Allegedly Attempting To Start Fight In Area, Police Say
Three people were arrested after police responded to a call for help from a resident in the area.
Ulster County residents Shawna S. Rivera, 18, of Olivebridge; Rigoberto Rivera, 22, of Kingston, and Brandon Federau, 19, also of Olivebridge, were arrested around 12:07 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 31, Saugerties Police Chief Joseph A. Sinagra said.
According to Sinagra, the three were arrested after police responded to High Falls Road after the resident called 911 to report they wanted to fight the caller.
