Man Arrested For DWI After Driving Too Fast With Open Wine Bottle In Porsche, Wilton PD Says
A Wilton man driving a red 1986 Porsche 933 was nabbed for alleged DWI following a traffic stop for driving too fast.
Robert Anthony Hartman, 59, was stopped on Saturday, Dec. 28, after Wilton Police clocked him allegedly driving 55 mph in a 30 mph zone near the intersection of Wolfpit Road with Belden Hill Road, Wilton Police said.
During the traffic stop, officers directed Hartman to pull into a business driveway on Wolfpit Road, but instead of pulling in Hartman allegedly stopped in front of the business, police said.

Suspects Nabbed For Allegedly Stealing From Greenwich Mailboxes, Police Say
Three people were nabbed for allegedly stealing mail from Greenwich mailboxes after police received a call reporting the crime.
The three arrested, Kelvin Cacho, 26; Shawnique McCalla, 22, and Anthony Dixon, 27, all of the Bronx, were arrested around 2 p.m., on Thursday, Dec. 26, after witnesses, provided Greenwich Police a description of the vehicle being used.
After locating the vehicle, a 2004 Acura, officers made a traffic stop and found McCalla driving with Cacho in the passenger seat. Dixon was located a short distance away.

Members of the Westchester Jewish community and others attended a special event to show support for five people stabbed in Rockland County over the weekend during an attack during a Hanukkah celebration.
The ceremony, held Sunday, Dec. 29, was organized and led by Rabbi Avrohom Butman of Chabad of Westchester County, and was attended by more than 100 people and dignitaries, as well as numerous police officers, firefighters, and elected officials.

That's the sound a lucky Ansonia man probably heard after winning $500,000 on a $20 lottery scratch-off ticket.
Allen Brualdi, who purchased the winning Gold ticket at City Star Market in Guilford, cashed in his winning ticket on Friday, Dec. 27, at CT Lottery headquarters, lottery officials said.
Brualdi declined to be interviewed and featured in the Lottery’s Winner Stories, but lottery officials said he was the second big winner in the game, leaving one more to come forward.

Man Killed After Car Crashes, Rolls On Front Lawn Of Area Home
A 71-year-old man was killed during a single-vehicle crash that sent his car rolling and landing in the front lawn of a home in the area.
Giusino Rende, of Middletown, was killed around 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, after his white 2018 Subaru Forester crashed and rolled, landing in a front lawn of a Town of Wallkill home, said State Police Trooper Steven Nevel.
According to Nevel, a preliminary investigation found that Rende was driving east on Silver-Scotchtown Road when his vehicle traveled off the right shoulder, hitting a guardrail.
