Man Struck, Killed By Lirr Train This story has been updated. A man was killed after being struck by a Long Island Railroad train. The man was hit west of Farmingdale around 9:15 a.m., Friday, Jan. 31, by a non-passenger train west of Ronkonkoma, said MTA officials. Due to the incident, service was terminated on the Ronkonkoma Branch before being restored shortly before 11 a.m. MTA officials said no criminality was involved with the incident.
