Motorcyclist Airlifted To Hospital After Two-Vehicle Crash In Area, Police Say A motorcyclist was airlifted to an area hospital following a two-vehicle crash in the area. The crash took place in Orange County on Monday, Feb. 3 in the City of Newburgh at Broadway and Mill Street. Upon arrival, Newburgh officers found the motorcycle and its driver in the roadway,  said City of Newburgh Police Det. Lt. Joseph Burns. The victim was transported to  St. Luke’s Hospital before being flown to Westchester Medical, Burns said. The driver of the motor vehicle did not seek medical attention at the scene. The crash is under investigation.

Suspect At Large After 24-Year-Old Found Shot In Area A suspect is at large after a 24-year-old man was found shot and wounded in the area. It happened in Rockland County around 11:35 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 2, on Church Street in Garnerville, said Town of Haverstraw Police Capt. Martin Lund. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries, Lund said. Man On First Date With Woman Dies After Choking On Piece Of Steak At Restaurant A Long Island man on a first date with a woman at a Fairfield County steakhouse died after choking on a piece of steak. The unidentified 32-year-old man died around 9 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30, at Blackstones Steakhouse in downtown Stamford, said the Stamford Police. Stamford officers responded within minutes and performed CPR on the choking man until medics arrived. Stamford Police Capt. Diedrich Hohn said the man's death was a tragic story. Police are searching for a man who allegedly robbed the Chase Bank in Nanuet and fled the scene in a taxi cab. Employee Charged With Stealing More Than $4K In Goods At Lowe's In Northern Westchester A 38-year-old Lowe's employee was arrested for allegedly stealing more than $4K worth of merchandise from the store in Northern Westchester where he worked. Nathaniel Dustin Dain, of Peekskill, was arrested on Thursday, Jan. 30, by police after they said they received a complaint from the Yorktown store earlier in the month. Man Nabbed For Pulling Renter's Scam In Greenwich, Police Say A man who had allegedly pulled a financial fraud scam on a Greenwich resident was nabbed following a lengthy investigation. The incident began in March 2019 when a Greenwich resident reported to police they had rented an out-of-state property through an on-line listing, Greenwich Police said.  A person, later identified as Jelil Olawale Aboila, 23, of Newark, New Jersey, contacted the victim and agreed to rent the property.
