Police Searching For Serial Armed Robber In Area Police are searching for an armed man who has allegedly robbed three gas station/convenience stores at gunpoint in the area. The robberies in Orange County began on Jan. 25, with the latest taking place around 1:17 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 5, said Town of Newburgh Police Lt. Police Warn Of Increase In Thefts Of Vehicles, Goods Inside In Stratford The Stratford Police Department is warning residents there has been an increase in thefts from and of motor vehicles. The thefts have been reported in the north end, Huntington Road area of town, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti. "As a reminder do not leave valuables or keys in your cars and lock all vehicles when not attended," Eannotti said. 24-Year-Old Man Killed Crossing Long Island Roadway A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a vehicle on Long Island. The accident took place around 9:08 p.m., Monday, Feb. 3, while the pedestrian was attempting to cross the Nassau Expressway in Inwood, said the Nassau County Police.
