Police: Armed Teen Who Threatened Girlfriend Apprehended Following Northern Westchester Pursuit
A Northern Westchester teen who was threatening his girlfriend, and was originally thought to have abducted the woman and a child, has been arrested on a probation violation charge.
Jacob Ruffin, 19, of Peekskill, was arrested around 3:45 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 6, after Peekskill police responded to a home for a domestic violence incident involving a handgun, said Peekskill Police Chief Don Halmy.
A short time later, Ruffin was seen on the 1300 block of Howard Street, and a foot pursuit with responding officers ensued, Halmy said.

Man Stole More Than $1K From Cash Register At Store In Area, Police Say
A 29-year-old man was busted for allegedly stealing more than $1,000 from an area BJ's Wholesale store.
Orange County resident Justin Kirton, of Walden, was arrested on Thursday, Dec. 3, by New York State Police, said Trooper Steven Nevel.
According to Nevel, while Kirton was an employee at BJ’s Wholesale in Monroe, he stole allegedly $1,250 from the cash register over a period of two months.
He was charged with grand larceny and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Monroe Court on Monday, Dec. 14.
Two From Fairfield County Killed In Wrong-Way, Head-On Crash
Two young men were killed during a double-fatal wrong-way crash in Fairfield County.
Kyle Jackson, 28, of Stratford, and Tyler Field Stevens, 22, of Shelton, were killed around 2:19 a.m., Sunday, Dec. 6 on Route 25 in Bridgeport, said the Connecticut State Police.
According to police, Jackson was driving southbound on Route 25 in the right lane, while Stevens was traveling in the wrong direction on the roadway (northbound) in the southbound lane at the same time.
The two vehicles collided head-on just south of Exit 3, police said.

Teen Allegedly Ditched Stolen Car In Homeowner's Driveway
An area man was arrested after he left a truck he had allegedly stolen in the driveway of a home and walked away.
Kyle Barone, 18, of Milford, was arrested on Monday, Nov. 30, by the Ansonia Police Department after receiving a suspicious activity complaint, said Lt. Patrick Lynch.
According to Lynch, an Ansonia resident reported an unknown male parked a truck in their driveway then walked away leaving the truck in the driveway.

Report Of Erratic Driver Leads To DWI Charge For Man In Northern Westchester, Police Say
A Dutchess County man was nabbed for DWI after police received reports of an erratic driver.
Joseph Pezzullo, 65, of Hopewell Junction, was arrested on Tuesday, Dec. 1, by Yorktown Police after officers responded to a call of an erratic driver, said the Yorktown Police.
When officers responded to the area, they located a vehicle matching the one reported in the call. The officer made a traffic stop due to an inoperable headlight, police said.
