She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Intruder Caught Inside Long Island Home, Struggles With Officers, Homeowner, Police Say A Long Island homeowner was awoken by an intruder in their home who entered through an unlocked door of the home. The incident took place around 2:30 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 17, at a Hampton Bays home, said Southampton Police Lt. Susan Ralph. According to Ralph, the department received a 911 call that reported an intruder in a home. The intruder entered through an unlocked door and entered one of the rooms where the homeowner was sleeping. The homeowner woke up and began to struggle with the intruder, Ralph said. 12-Year-Old Girl Killed, Boy Injured In Shooting At Area Home, State Police Say A 12-year-old girl was killed and a 9-year-old boy injured during a shooting at an Ulster County multi-family home. The incident was uncovered around 8 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 17, when members of the Kingston Police responded to a reported shooting at the rear apartment of 60 Van Buren Street, in Kingston, said the Kingston Police Department. Upon arrival, officers found a 12-year-old girl with a gunshot wound and a 9-year-old boy who had suffered a gunshot wound to an arm. The girl died from her injuries. Police Asking For Help Locating Missing Long Island Man Police are asking the public for help locating a Long Island man who is in need of medical attention. The Southampton Town Police is actively looking to locate Joseph F. Marino, 29, of Flanders, said Lt. Susan Ralph. Marino was last seen leaving a residence on Temple Avenue in Flanders, about 5:40 p.m. on Thursday, December 17. Covid-19: Popular Wfsb Anchor Tests Positive Along With Her Husband Kara Sundlun, the longtime WFSB-TV news anchor, and her husband, former anchor Dennis House, have tested positive for COVID-19. Sundlun made the announcement on her Twitter page on Tuesday, Dec. 15, saying at the time House and their children had tested negative. Three Stores Charged With Selling Alcohol, Vaping Products To Minors In Northern Westchester Three Northern Westchester businesses were recently charged with selling alcohol or vaping products to a youth who was under 21 years of age. Man Walking In Roadway Seriously Injured After Being Hit By SUV A Fairfield County man was seriously injured after being hit by a vehicle while walking in a busy roadway. John Ponseigo, 62, of Danbury, was hit by a 2018 Honda CR-V driven by James McClure, 72, of Bethel, around 3:43 p.m. in the area of West Wooster and Pleasant streets, said Danbury Police Det. Lt. Duo Nabbed For Robbing Long Island CVS Two Long Island men have been arrested for allegedly robbing a CVS pharmacy. Clem Narcisse, 47, of Brentwood, and his accomplice, Lemarvin Rowan, 52, address unknown, were arrested after entering the CVS Pharmacy located at 464 Main Street in Port Jefferson around 5 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 17, and displayed a gun and demanded cash, said the Suffolk County Police. Covid-19: Man Arrested After Intentionally Coughing On Walmart Customer, Police Say A man was arrested for allegedly coughing on another customer at an area Walmart several times after an eagle-eyed police officer spotted him during a traffic stop. Westchester Community College's Cybersecurity Program Gets $1 Million Grant Westchester Community College has presented a $1 million donation after being designated a Center for Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Education by the US Department of Homeland Security and the National Security Agency.
