Man Charged With Attempting To Rob Long Island TD Bank Branch, Police Say A  man has been arrested for allegedly robbing a Long Island TD Bank. Tyrell Guthrie, 33, of Hempstead, was arrested on Thursday, Jan. 7, in Hempstead, said the Nassau County Police. According to detectives, Guthrie entered the TD Bank, at 252 Peninsula Blvd., approached a teller, and demanded money before fleeing the bank on foot without any proceeds.  No injuries were reported. Guthrie was apprehended by police a short distance away from the bank. He was charged with robbery and issued an appearance ticket returnable to appear in court on Wednesday, Jan. 27.
