One Killed In Route 202 Crash A Rockland County man was killed during a two-vehicle crash in Montebello on Route 202. The crash took place around 7 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 6, when the two vehicles, one which was headed westbound and the other eastbound, collided head-on, said Ramapo Police Capt. Daniel Hyman. Man Accused Of Committing Sexual Crimes Against A Child In Area, Police Say A 47-year-old man has been arrested for sexual crimes against a child. Orange County resident Chad Volpe, of Otisville, was arrested on Wednesday, Dec. 6, by New York State Police following an investigation of sexual conduct with a child, said Trooper Steven Nevel. According to Nevel, Volpe has been charged with felony crimes of: Course of sexual conduct against a child  Criminal sexual act  Sexual abuse  Volpe was arraigned by City of Newburgh Judge Peter Culkin and remanded to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail.

Shooting Victim Not Cooperating, Police Say One person received a non-life-threatening injury after being shot in the arm in Bridgeport. Police were alerted to the shooting when they were notified by officials at St. Vincent's Hospital that a gunshot victim had arrived for treatment, said Scott Appleby, director of Emergency Management. Firearm-Wielding Man Threatens Snowplow Operators In Hudson Valley, Police Say A man has been arrested for allegedly threatening two snowplow operators with a gun in the area. Ulster County resident Robert E. Kalb, 83, of Shandaken, was arrested on Monday, Jan. 4, after threatening the two town employees who were operating a snowplow, said Shandaken Police Chief Chad Storey.
