Chance Perrone, age 21, of New Canaan, was arrested on Tuesday, Jan. 5, by Norwalk Police for a string of commercial burglaries. 14-Year-Old Shooting Victim Dies From His Injuries, Police Say A 14-year-old boy who was shot in the head over the weekend has died from his injuries. According to the City of Poughkeepsie Police, Akeem Stevens was found shot in the head around 10 p.m., Friday, Jan. 8, at a home at 32 Conklin Street, after receiving a 911 call. When officers arrived on the scene, Stevens was still alive, said Captain Rich Wilson. He later died from his injuries at Westchester Medical Center, Wilson said. Man From Fairfield County Stabs Walmart Cashier In Head, Police Say A man was charged with assault after he stabbed a Walmart cashier in the side of the head with a folding knife while checking out. Police responded to the store located at 910 Wolcott Street, in Waterbury, after receiving a call that a store cashier was stabbed by a man and both were still on the scene. The incident took place around 11:25 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 10 in West Babylon, said the Suffolk County Police. Pilot Who Crashed Plane Saved By Firefighters On Long Island Police are investigating a plane crash that took place near a Long Island roadway in which the pilot was rescued. The crash took place around 1:05 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 10 near Winding road in Old Bethpage, Nassau County Police said.
