She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Man Dies After Snowmobile Accident On Frozen Reservoir In Area One man was killed and another injured after a snowmobile smashed through the ice and fell into the water of an area reservoir. Shortly after the incident took place around 5:30 p.m., Monday, Feb. 1, in Orange County, Sergeant James Bodisch and Trooper Ryan Stutz responded to Reservoir Road in the town of Goshen for a report of a snowmobile accident with injuries, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Woman Arrested For Road-Rage Incident Involving UPS Driver In Fairfield County, Police Say A Fairfield County woman has been arrested for threatening a UPS driver with a knife after being cut off in traffic. Kalianne Schiavi, of Norwalk, was arrested on Thursday, Jan. 28, after Norwalk Police were dispatched to 190 Martin Luther King Drive (UPS) on the report of a motorist that displayed a knife, said Sgt. Covid-19: Popular Long Island Restaurant Loses Liquor License For Violating Regulations A popular Long Island bar and restaurant has had its liquor license suspended for COVID-19 violations. Robke's of Northport, known as a favorite hangout for sports stars and other glitterati has lost its liquor license on Sunday, Jan. 24, after investigators found the business was in violation of COVID-related regulations, the New York Liquor Authority report said. Police Search For Two Men Who Burglarized Three Area Restaurants Police are asking the public for help identifying two men who allegedly burglarized three local restaurants. The incidents were discovered around 3:40 a.m., Monday, Feb. 1, in Ulster County when the Ellenville Police Department responded to a call for a burglary in progress at the China One Restaurant on Center Sreet in the Village of Ellenville, said Chief Phillip Mattracion. Police Searching For Three Men Who Burglarized Long Island Laundromat, Police Say Police are searching for three men who allegedly burglarized a Long Island laundromat. The incident took place around 1:30 a.m., Sunday, Jan. 31, at the Nabenn Laundromat in New Cassel, said the Nassau County Police. According to detectives, officers responded to the laundromat, located at 1008 Prospect Ave., for a burglary. Two Rescued After Truck Falls Into Water In Fairfield County During Nor'easter Two people were rescued in dramatic fashion from a sinking pickup truck in Fairfield County during the peak of the Nor'easter. Fairfield County Woman Accused Of Child Abuse A 38-year-old Fairfield County woman was arrested for alleged child abuse. Magaly Gonzalez, age 38, of Norwalk was arrested on Friday, Jan. 29, by the Norwalk Police following an investigation into injuries to a child that is known to her, said Sgt. Sofia Gulino. Man Accused Of Installing Camera In Women's Locker Room In Fairfield County A Connecticut man has been charged with voyeurism and disorderly conduct for allegedly placing a video recording device in a women’s locker room at a Fairfield County manufacturing building. Police Asking For Help Identifying Armed CT Robbery Suspect Police in Connecticut are asking the public for help to identify a man who attempted to rob a gas station food mart at gunpoint. Police Search For More Possible Victims After Long Island Man Nabbed For Abusing Child State Police on Long Island are investigating the possibility that a Long Island man arrested earlier this month for sexual conduct against a child might have additional victims. Pablo Aguilar, age 42, of East Hampton, was arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 6, for sexual conduct against a child in a case that dates back more than 20 years, said New York State Trooper Daniel Ahlgrim.
