Legislators' Proposal To Name Pizza Official CT State Food Sparks Wide-Ranging Responses
Two Connecticut legislators think the state has the best pizza and are even proposing legislation making it the official state food.
But other states, and plenty of people, say hang on a minute, what about New York, Chicago, and New Jersey.
The two legislators, State Rep. Patricia Dillon, who represents New Haven, and State Senator Gary Winfield, who represents New Haven and West Haven, are ready to push for their favorite food, but so far they have only received about 255 votes on a Change.org petition.

Two Cats Die, Two Others Rescued After House Fire Breaks Out In Rockland
Two cats were killed, and another two saved after a house fire that left a family homeless in Rockland County.
The fire started around 5:20 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 3, at 192 Strawtown Road, in New City, said Clarkstown Police Officer Norman Peters.
First responding police and firefighters from the New City Fire Department, found the single-family home was engulfed in flames, Peters said.
The two adult residents were located outside the home, uninjured as officers arrived. Four of the family's five cats were retrieved from the home.

Danbury Woman, 24, Arrested For Fleeing From Police After Failing To Stop In Wilton, Police Say
A Fairfield County woman was arrested for allegedly fleeing from police when they attempted to stop her for a speeding violation.
Jessica Perez-Chimbo, age 24, of Danbury, was arrested on Friday, Jan. 29, for the incident which took place in Wilton in August, Wilton Police Lieutenant Gregg Phillipson said.
