Car Plows Into Northern Westchester Store A car plowed through a Northern Westchester store, injuring three. The incident took place around 1 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 4, in Bedford Hills at the Brew & Co. at 532 N. Bedford Road (Route 117), said Sgt. Patricia McGraw with the Bedford Police Department. An elderly driver became confused and drove into the store, according to McGraw.  The injuries were very minor, McGraw said. The issue came to light on Tuesday, Feb. 2, in Orange County when the Town of Newburgh Police Department released a list of Level-2 and Level-3 sex offenders living in the Town of Newburgh. A search by the Hudson Valley Post found that four of the offenders were living in the Orange Lake Motel, just 300 feet from the Building Blocks Childcare Center in Newburgh. Crash Involving State Trooper Leads To Road Closure In Area A major roadway in the area has reopened following a crash involving a New York State Police cruiser. The crash took place early Thursday, Feb. 4, in Ulster County, on Route 9W in Milton, closing a section of the roadway for several hours, said Trooper Steven Nevel. Nevel did have additional information surrounding the crash, only that the trooper was "OK." Route 9W was closed in both directions between the Milton Turnpike and Willow Tree Road, but had reopened as of 12:30 p.m., Nevel said.

Major Long Island Road Closed Due To Fatal Hit-Run Crash A major Long Island roadway is closed due to a fatal hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian.  The crash took place around 6 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 4, in East Patchogue eastbound on the Sunrise Highway, said Suffolk County Police. Person Found Dead In Burning Vehicle In CT, Police Say A person was found dead after a vehicle fire in Connecticut. Jessica Perez-Chimbo, age 24, of Danbury, was arrested on Friday, Jan. 29, for the incident which took place in Wilton in August, Wilton Police Lieutenant Gregg Phillipson said.
