Kathy Reaks has worked as a reporter in the local news business since 1984, starting as a news clerk and working her way up. She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

The Suffern Police Department announced the death of Lieutenant John Mallon on Thursday, Feb. 18. Police Release ID Of 7-Year-Old Who Died In Area A 7-year-old boy Hudson Valley boy who died unexpectedly has been identified by police. Peter Cuacuas, of the City of Newburgh, died on Wednesday, Feb. 10, in Orange County when the City of Newburgh Police Department was notified by Montefiore St. Luke’s Hospital in Newburgh that a 7-year-old boy arrived at the hospital in a private vehicle and was not breathing at the time he arrived, police said. Police Asking Public For Help Identifying Armed Robbers In Stolen Vehicle In Fairfield County The Greenwich Police Department is asking the public for help identifying three men who allegedly committed an armed robbery and stole a vehicle. The incident took place on Sunday, Feb. 14, at 1233 East Putnam Ave., when the three men threatened the use of a firearm and robbed the victim of his cell phone and credit card, said Greenwich Police Captain Mark E.
