She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Carnegie Deli Adding Location In Region When stacked pastrami on rye with a pickle comes to mind there's one place that most New Yorkers think of and that's the Carnegie Deli. Well, good news. Longtime Rockland County Police Lieutenant Dies Suddenly A longtime Rockland County police lieutenant has died unexpectedly. The Suffern Police Department announced the death of Lieutenant John Mallon on Thursday, Feb. 18. Mallon was raised in Suffern and fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming a Suffern Police Officer. The department said he "proudly" served the Suffern community as a police officer for 40 years, rising through the ranks from patrolman, sergeant, detective sergeant to lieutenant. Police Release ID Of 7-Year-Old Who Died In Area A 7-year-old boy Hudson Valley boy who died unexpectedly has been identified by police. Peter Cuacuas, of the City of Newburgh, died on Wednesday, Feb. 10, in Orange County when the City of Newburgh Police Department was notified by Montefiore St. Luke’s Hospital in Newburgh that a 7-year-old boy arrived at the hospital in a private vehicle and was not breathing at the time he arrived, police said. Long Island Man Accused Of Attacking Cop During Disturbance, Police Say A Long Island man has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer as he was being arrested for a disturbance. Michael Molina, age 30, of Great Neck, was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 17, after Nassau County Police responded to a home in Glen Head for a report of a disturbance, police said. One Killed, One Seriously Injured In I-84 Crash One person was killed and another seriously injured during a crash on I-84. The crash took place around 5:52 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 18, on westbound I-84 in Southbury, said the Connecticut State Police. Mom Intentionally Drove Son Into Connecticut Lake In Murder/Suicide, Police Say Police have determined that a mother “intentionally drove” into a Connecticut lake, killing herself and her son who was a passenger. The incident took place on Friday, July 31, when Connie Crowell, age 54, of Monroe, and her passenger and son John Crowell, age 22, both died due to drowning when she drove an SUV into the Housatonic Lake in western New Haven County in the Town of Seymour, on Roosevelt Drive. Crashes Reported On I-684, Taconic, Cross County Parkways Light snow and slippery roads have resulted in some crashes in the area on Friday morning, Feb. 19. New York State Police reported several crashes, including one in Bedford that slowed traffic earlier on I-684. But state police said that, overall, there have not been a large number of crashes. "We haven't experienced any significant crashes this morning," said Trooper AJ Hicks. Police Asking Public For Help Identifying Armed Robbers In Stolen Vehicle In Fairfield County The Greenwich Police Department is asking the public for help identifying three men who allegedly committed an armed robbery and stole a vehicle. The incident took place on Sunday, Feb. 14, at 1233 East Putnam Ave., when the three men threatened the use of a firearm and robbed the victim of his cell phone and credit card, said Greenwich Police Captain Mark E.
