Two Teens Arrested Following Large Riot At Pleasantville Cottage School This story has been updated.  A large riot of girls from the Pleasantville Cottage School took more than 10 to 15 police officers to break up and ended with two arrests and more pending, according to the Pleasantville Police. The riot started around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday at the school at 1075 Broadway after two girls had been fighting during the day and the fight escalated to include numerous residents of the school, said Lt. Man, 25, Nabbed For Vehicle Theft In Stony Point ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. --  A Stony Point man was nabbed for vehicle theft after taking a resident's vehicle without permission. Stony Point Police arrested Jessie McDonnell, 25, on Saturday, Nov. 11, after responding to a complaint of a vehicle theft at the Mountain View Mobile Home Park, said Lt. Daniel Hylas. An investigation found that McDonnell took the vehicle without permission. Police are also still investigating the theft of other property that was missing, Hylas said. McDonnell was released without bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 7.

Stony Point Man Injures Girl Under 17 In Domestic Incident, Police Say ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Stony Point police arrested a local man after responding to a domestic violence call in which a child under the age of 17 was injured. Peter Chillemi, 27, of Wayne Avenue, was charged on Wednesday, Nov. 8, with third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child after the female victim received an eye injury during a domestic argument, said Lt. Daniel Hylas. Chillemi was processed and arraigned at the Stony Point Justice Court and released without bail pending a court date on Nov. 20.

Route 9 Reopens In Rhinebeck After Hours-Long Closure Route 9 just south of Rhinebeck is back open to traffic following a single-car crash that took out a utility pole, is reopen after almost 10 hours, according to the New York State Police. The crash, that took place at 12:43 p.m. Monday, caused numerous wires to block the roadway closing the road in both directions through the evening commute. During the closure, traffic was rerouted to Ackert Hook Road and Haggerty Hill Road. The driver, which flipped the vehicle, received minor injuries.
