Woman Nabbed On DWI Charge In Ramapo Police Parking Lot Ramapo Police nabbed a Spring Valley woman for DWI in their own parking lot after she stopped to talk with an officer patrolling the lot.The unidentified 58-year-old woman was arrested around 2:40 a.m., Thursday, after an officer conducting a check of the parking lot observed an occupied vehicle. Commuters were asked to avoid the area of Route 202 in Peekskill following a vehicle crash that has one person being airlifted to the hospital and has closed two roads. Red Hook Man Jumps To His Death From Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge A local man in his 30's jumped to his death from the Kingston-Rhinecliff Bridge, according to the Dutchess County Sheriff's Office. The incident took place around 11:15 a.m. Friday, when a witness alerted the Sheriff's Office about the suicide, said Capt. John Watterson. The unidentified man from Red Hook landed on the solid land area below the bridge on the Dutchess County side of the bridge, Watterson said. An investigation is underway, but it appears to be a suicide, he added.
