Quick Response After Report Of Structure Fire At Bank In Mahopac Falls PUTNAM COUNTY, N.Y. --  A report of a structure fire at Tompkins Bank in Mahopac Falls brought out a quick response around noon on Tuesday. Officials received a call for a possible fire and responded within minutes to the bank on Route 6N, fire officials said.  Firefighters from the Mahopac Falls Fire Department, along with a ladder truck from Mahopac Fire Department, and Carmel police responded to find a small fire and smoke that was quickly extinguished and crews double checked the area for additional fire with thermal imaging cameras. At this time, the cause is under investigation.
