Multiple Police Forces Hold Active Shooter Drill At Fox Lane High School
In the wake of the Parkland High School shooting in Florida and numerous "threats" to local schools made online, the Town of Bedford Police Department conducted an active shooter drill with numerous departments.
The drill, held Saturday, at Fox Lane High School, including officers from Bedford, Westchester County, North Castle, Pound Ridge and Yorktown police departments.
Fire departments included Bedford, Bedford Hills, and Pound Ridge. EMS agencies were Katonah-Bedford Hills and Pound Ridge Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

Suspect Nabbed For 2016 Murder In Fairfield County Drug Deal Gone Bad
Bridgeport police arrested a juvenile for his role in the 2016 murder of teenager Shane Slinsky, according to Av Harris, the Bridgeport police spokesman.
The unidentified Stamford juvenile was charged with felony murder, murder, conspiracy to commit robbery, larceny and carrying a pistol without a permit, Harris said.
He is being held on $1 million bond.
“An additional arrest is expected shortly,” Harris added.
Slinsky was shot twice in the head on Aug. 27, 2016, on Wood Terrace in Bridgeport, during a drug deal gone bad, police said.

Home Health Aid Sentenced For Stamford Thefts
A Bridgeport home health aide hired to care for an elderly Alzheimer's patient was sentenced to five years in jail Friday for stealing $26,000 from the 81-year-old woman.
During sentencing in Stamford, Philliann Barnett, 39, was given a 10-year sentence, reduced by half. She will also have to pay restitution and will serve five years of probation following her release.
Barnett, who was arrested in December 2015 for the crime, committed numerous acts of fraud, which led to losses of over $26,000 to the Springdale woman, the Stamford Police said following an investigation.
