She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Police Nab Man With $14K In Fraudulently Purchased Cell Phones In Greenwich A man was nabbed by Greenwich Police for receiving more than $14,000 in fraudulent cell phones. Derick Dimson, 28, of Newark was arrested Tuesday after Greenwich Police received information that Dimson would be arriving in town to pick up a package delivered by UPS containing the phones that had been purchased fraudulently, police said. Officers staked out the address and watched as Dimson arrived at the arranged address and picked up the package, police said. A search of his vehicle turned up additional phones obtained by fraudulent means with a total value of $14,888.92. He was charged…

Tractor-Trailers Now Banned On Several Interstate Highways Latest Projected Snowfall Totals For Fourth Nor'easter Rundown Of School Closures For Wednesday As snow begins to start as a result of the latest Nor'easter, the state has issued a tractor-trailer ban on I-84 from the Pennsylvania state line to the Connecticut state line, in addition to a ban on I-87. Earlier, New York State Police issued a travel advisory and tractor-trailer ban for I-95 in both directions between Exit 17 and the New York City line until further notice. Tractor-trailers are also banned from travel on I-87 between Exit 17 Newburgh and the NYC line.

Travel Advisory Issued For Westchester County Motorists Latest Projected Snowfall Totals For Fourth Nor'easterWestchester County officials are urging motorists to avoid travel if possible as conditions deteriorate rapidly as the fourth Nor'easter of the season moves over the county. Currently, the Bee-Line Bus service is open, however, as conditions are expected to worsen, making travel difficult, the service may be canceled. Earlier, delays can be expected. Tractor-Trailer Ban Now In Effect For I-87 Stretch Due to deteriorating weather conditions as the fourth Nor'easter of the season pelts the area, the state has issued a travel advisory and tractor-trailer ban for I-95 in both directions between Exit 17 and the New York City line until further notice. New York State Police said all tractor-trailers are restricted from entering or traveling on the following roadways: I-87 Between Exit 17 Newburgh and the NYC line. I-95, Garden State Parkway Connector, and I-287 Motorists are urged to avoid any travel unless absolutely necessary and seek alternate routes.

Stamford Man Attacked In Own Yard By Several Men, Police Say A Stamford man was beaten by several men while coming come to his West Side apartment on Sunday, according to the Stamford Police. Sgt. Jennifer Pinto said the man was attacked around 10:15 p.m. Sunday when he was entering the side door to the apartment when he heard someone behind him and turned and saw a masked man run up behind him and began beating him. New Canaan's Robert Amen, 42, Remembered As Devoted Father, Husband Robert M. Amen, Jr. of New Canaan died Thursday, March 15, from complications related to leukemia with his family by his side. He was 42. The eldest of five, Amen was known as a big brother to many. 17-Year-Old Used Knife To Puncture Walls In Stony Point Home A 17-year-old Stony Point resident was arrested for damaging his home on Route 210 following a fight with his father, according to the Stony Point Police. The incident took place around 2:45 p.m. Sunday when the teen damaged sheetrock walls in his home using a knife to puncture the walls numerous times and punched four holes in the walls, said Lt. Mahopac Falls Fire District Welcomes Back A Familiar Staple Over the past few months, residents of Mahopac Falls might have noticed something missing -- the 6 p.m. siren from the fire district headquarters. The siren also used to summon firefighters when they are needed, has been down to be refurbished with a new motor.
