17-Year-Old Hudson Valley Boy Charged In Rape Of Girl, 11 A 17-year-old boy has been charged with the rape of an 11-year-old girl, according to the Spring Valley Police Department. Kevin Guallpa-Lema was arrested after Spring Valley police were contacted by Child Protective Services regarding an 11-year-old girl who was not attending school regularly, said Officer Matthew Galli. A joint investigation found that the girl was the victim of sexual abuse and Guallpa-Lema was arrested, Galli said. He was charged with rape and sexual abuse. He is being held on $50,000 bail.

Seen Him? Police Seek Man Who Stole From Fairfield Restaurant Police are on the hunt for a man who smashed a door to a restaurant, hopped over the counter and made off with the cash register drawer. Fairfield Police Lt. Robert Kalamaras said the incident took place around 11:25 p.m. Wednesday, at the Coromandel Cuisine of India on Pease Avenue. Surveillance video shows the man, holding a flashlight, climbing over the counter, and yanking the drawer from the register, before fleeing the scene. The whole burglary took place so quickly that by the time police arrived after being alerted by an alarm, glass shards were still falling from the smashed door.…

Man Charged In Violent Assaults Of Mother Of His Son In Stamford An undocumented Haitian man is behind bars for several brutal assaults on his girlfriend after she attempted to break up with him. Waking Noel, 34, of Seaton Road, Stamford, is being held in lieu of a $100,000 after he was charged with assaulting the mother of his two-year-old child in February, said Sgt. Jennifer Lynch. "He punched, kicked, hit and seriously injured the woman on two occasions," Lynch said. Father Charged With Beating 5-Month-Old Who's Hospitalized In Westchester A man is behind bars for beating a 5-month-old baby, breaking ribs and causing a skull fracture, according to the Spring Valley Police Department. Jonathan Castillo was arrested after Child Protective Services were notified by officials at Westchester Medical Center that the child had been admitted with serious injuries, Spring Valley Police Officer Matthew Gail said. A joint investigation by the police department and protective services was initiated and ended with the arrest of Castillo, said Gail. He was charged with assault and criminal contempt and is being held on $500,000 bail.

Man, 23, Charged With Making Bomb Threat To Trumbull High School Police arrested a local man for posting a bomb threat towards Trumbull High School on his Facebook page. Rushab Momaya, 23, a 2011 Trumbull High School graduate, stated that he was going to bomb the school but did not include any details in the posting, Trumbull police said. When Trumbull Police and the fire marshal’s office responded to Momaya’s residence, they quickly determined that the threat was not credible and that there were no explosive materials or incendiary devices on the premises, police said. Police: Group Tried To Break Into Home Of Wilton Man Who Died Days Earlier Two days after the untimely death of a 57-year-old Wilton resident in his home, Wilton police arrested five Massachusetts residents for attempting to break into his home. Albert Koenig, 57, was found dead in his Scribner Hill home on Thursday, March 15, said Lt. Robert Kluk. Following his death, police received information that several people may be coming to the area to break into his home, Kluk added. Newburgh Man Pleads Guilty To Possessing $17K In Heroin A 23-year-old man faces 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to possession of $17,000 worth of heroin, according to Orange County District Attorney David Hoovler. Tysha Stevens of Newburgh pleaded guilty Wednesday to criminal possession of a controlled substance in connection with his arrest on Feb. 11 for over seven ounces of heroin, the DA's office said. Final Refueling Starts At Indian Point Control room operators shut down Indian Point Energy Center’s Unit 2 nuclear power plant Monday to begin the final scheduled refueling and maintenance outage before its closure in April 2020. During the outage, Entergy is investing more than $75 million in the plant, reinforcing the company’s commitment to safe and secure operations until its shutdown, officials said. Greenwich Mail Carrier Caught Stealing Gift Cards A Greenwich mail carrier was arrested Tuesday and charged with the theft of gift cards from the mail. Ismail Laksabi, 43, of Springdale Court, Norwalk, was arrested following a three-month investigation by the U.S. Postal Service, the State Financial Crimes Task Force and Greenwich police. Suspect Nabbed With 110 Bags Of Heroin In Fairfield County Fairfield County cops busted a Bronx man with 110 bags of heroin following a tip that he was frequently selling drugs in the area. The Stamford Police Department's Narcotics Unit was on the lookout for Lamor Williams, 47, of the Bronx, when he arrived in town around 7:30 p.m. Friday at Baxter and West avenues, said Stamford Police Capt.
