Man Nearly Dies Of Heroin Overdose Inside Library Bathroom In Stamford An employee found a 52-year-old man unconscious and nearly dead from a heroin overdose in a second-floor bathroom at Ferguson Library in Stamford, according to police. The man was found around 1 p.m. Thursday at the library at 1 Public Library Plaza when the staff member entered the bathroom, said Stamford Police Sgt. Robert Shawinsky. Police Investigating Stabbing In Rye Police are investigating a stabbing that took place near 900 Boston Post Road in Rye, according to multiple sources.  Police had set up a crime scene area in front of two churches and had taped off a still-running silver Honda around 9 p.m. Thursday, according to News 12.  News 12 reported the vehicle had a blood-stained passenger seat and that a victim was taken by ambulance to Westchester Medical Center.  Rye police said the police commissioner would release additional information Friday afternoon. Bicyclist Hospitalized After Getting Hit By Car On Route 6N A bicyclist was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a car on Route 6N, near Carmel. The incident occurred Thursday afternoon near the county sand pile after a person driving a vehicle struck the bicyclist, said officials. Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire, EMS, and Fire Police were dispatched, along with Carmel Police. The driver of the vehicle was "shaken up" but not injured. The bicyclist was transported to Hudson Valley Hospital with minor injuries.
