The crash occurred just before 9 a.m. Wednesday at 2429 New Hackensack Road, Town of Poughkeepsie Police said. Few details were available at this point, including which school the bus served. First responders report the minibus struck a pole, which snapped in half. Police are requesting motorists avoid the area until the roadway is cleared, police said. This is a developing story. Police: Health Aide Stole $100K Worth Of Rings From Fairfield County Woman A local home health care aide was arrested for ripping off several rings worth more than $100,000 from a woman in her care, according to Stratford Police. Nicole Passander, 32, of Ansonia was arrested Friday for felony larceny following an investigation into the thefts, said Capt. Frank Eannotti.  According to Eannotti, the thefts were reported in March and a warrant was issued after the investigation led police to Passander. Car Ignites After Illegal Dutchess County Brush Fire After an illegally set brush fire spread to a car, sending it into flames, residents across the area are being warned not to burn any brush until a ban is lifted in May. The fire broke out around 12:40 p.m. Monday in the area of Sylvan Lake Road in the town of Beekman, according to Lt.
