Five Cats Killed In Northern Westchester House Fire Five cats were killed in a Northern Westchester house fire that is believed to have started in the kitchen, according to firefighters. Croton-on-Hudson Volunteer Fire Department was called to a house fire on Maple Street around 3:30 p.m. Monday and found the house in flames, with no one at home, the department said. Due to a coordinated, aggressive interior fire attack, the fire was held to the kitchen and a second-floor room, and the neighboring house was saved but did sustain some damage from the radiant heat, the department said. ID Released For Fairfield County Man Found Dead On Saugatuck Shores Police have identified a man found dead on the shore of Harbor Road in Saugatuck Shores as a local resident. Gregory Garoffolo, 60, of Westport was found at 8:40 a.m. Friday, when a man jogging contacted police after finding the body along the shoreline in the mud on Harbor Road, said Westport Lt. Jillian Cabana. Investigators learned Garoffolo’s vehicle had been located on the I-95 Saugatuck River overpass during the early morning hours of May 4 and was subsequently towed by state police, said Cabana. Village Attorney Charged With 'Fixing' Tickets, Zoning Issues A former Spring Valley Village attorney has been charged with official misconduct for "fixing" tickets and zoning issues, according to Rockland County District Attorney Thomas P. Knife-Wielding Newburgh Teen Girl Apprehend After Stabbing 11-Year-Old Newburgh police were threatened by a 13-year-old girl with a knife when officers responded to a report of a stabbing at the Kenny Court apartment complex, according to police. Woman Wanted For Making Threats Nabbed On Firearms Charge In Greenwich A 38-year-old woman wanted for almost a year for threatening another person in Greenwich with a gun has been arrested, according to Greenwich Police. Natashia Livingston of the Bronx was arrested Monday on charges of altering a firearm identification and improper storage of a firearm near a minor, police said. Livingston was wanted from an incident that took place on June 19, 2017, on Edgewood Avenue in which she threatened another person. Teen Charged In Crash That Killed 3-Year-Old Boy An 18-year-old teen who was trying to escape from police and slammed into a police car before hitting another car and then a 3-year-old boy on the side of the road in November has been arrested in connection with the crash. Orange County Man Nabbed With Gun, Pot A 21-year-old City of Newburgh man was busted for possession of a handgun and marijuana during a stop by Orange County Sheriff's deputies. Tyshe M. Williams Jr., was stopped shortly after noon on Sunday, on Liberty Street for various traffic violations, said Capt. Paul Arteta. Williams, who was unlicensed, had 94 bags of marijuana tucked inside his jacket and a loaded Ruger handgun in the vehicle, Arteta said. He was charged with felony criminal possession of a weapon and possession of marijuana and is being held at the Orange County Jail on $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.
