She spent 17 years at Florida Today in Melbourne, Florida as a general assignment reporter, crime reporter, entertainment reporter and restaurant critic. She worked four years at Hometown News as a general assignment reporter, then another two years at Spacecoast Daily in Cocoa Beach, Florida. She attended Eastern Florida State College in Melbourne, Florida.

Westchester Teen Killed In Crash Remembered As Charming Aspiring Chef A Westchester teen who was killed in a motorcycle crash on Route 7 in Norwalk is being remembered as a charming, aspiring chef just days after he was laid to rest. Nathan Spiro, 19, of Bedford, died on May 1 following the April 30 crash and just two weeks before his 20th birthday. The son of Marc and Debbie Spiro, of Bedford, Nathan was an accomplished, aspiring chef whose personality, charm and love of food can be seen in his casting tape for the Food Network "Teen Chopped" show. Taconic Parkway Reopens After Rollover Crash Involving School Bus Update All lanes on the Taconic State Parkway have reopened after a crash earlier Wednesday morning involving a school bus. Original report All southbound lanes and one northbound lane of the Taconic State Parkway are closed due to a school bus crash, according to the New York State Police. Support Pours In For Northern Westchester Family After 'Devastating Loss' Firefighters, friends and family members have put out a call to help through a GoFundMe page for a longtime Croton family who lost everything in a fire. The fire took place on Monday afternoon at the Cianfaglione family home, which was a total loss. Thankfully, no humans lost their lives, but five cats perished in the flames. Car Slams Into Westchester Restaurant, Causing Serious Damage A driver slammed her car into Tombolino Ristorante in Yonkers, landing partially through the wall and causing serious damage. According to Yonkers Deputy Fire Chief Thomas Fitzpatrick, the incident took place around 12:45 p.m. Tuesday as the woman was leaving the adjacent bank parking lot. There were no injuries, and the Kimball Avenue restaurant is still expected to be able to open in time for its busy Mother's Day. Man Sexually Assaults Girlfriend In Middle Of Break Up, Stamford Police Say A Stamford woman trying to break up with her boyfriend lived through a harrowing attack as the man sexually assaulted her, according to Stamford Police. Teen Trio Caught Trying To Steal $600 Of Items At Fairfield County Market Three teens were busted attempting to steal more than $600 worth of food and other items from a Stop & Shop, according to the Stamford Police. Man Busted For DWI, Pot Following Crash, Police Say Stony Point police busted a local man for DWI and possession of marijuana following a traffic crash, according to police. Adam J. Kezek, 24, of Florida was arrested Sunday after Stony Point officers responded to a car crash on Route 210 and Cedar Flats, Lt. Daniel Hylas said. During an investigation of the crash, Kezek was found to be in an intoxicated condition and in possession of marijuana and vials of concentrated cannabis, Hylas said. Stony Point Police Nab Woman Wanted On Two Warrants An area woman was busted by Stony Point Police on two bench warrants for possession of a controlled substance. Michelle Squillante, 47, of Tomkins Cove, was arrested May 2 on two bench warrants for failure to appear in court on an earlier arrest for possession of drugs, said Lt. Daniel Hylas. Squillante was arraigned and released on $200 bond. She is scheduled to appear in court on May 15.
