Car Crashes Through Fence, Onto Metro-North Train Platform In Westchester An 82-year-old driver slammed through a guardrail, fencing, railing and almost hit a tree before partially landing on the Fleetwood Metro-North train station platform after losing control of his car. Westport Man Convicted Of Stealing Government Info For Insider Trading A Westport resident was one of four people convicted of stealing government information for insider trading, according to U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York Robert Khuzami. Theodore Huber, 56, a partner at Deerfield Management Company, L.P., a healthcare-focused hedge fund in New York, along with three others were found guilty following a four-week trial. The hedge fund is believed to have reaped more than $7 million in profits as a result of the scheme. Body Found On Saugatuck Shores In Fairfield County A local resident made a gruesome discovery, finding a body that had washed ashore. Police received notification of the body around 8:40 a.m. Friday when the Westport resident contacted police headquarters to report the body which had washed up on the shore of Harbor Road in Saugatuck Shores, said Westport Police Lt. Jillian Cabana. Police responded to the area and located a deceased male at the water line. HS Senior Killed When Car Slams Into Tree In Hudson Valley An area high school senior known for his humor and kindness was killed in a single-vehicle crash when his car hit a tree. John West III, 17, was killed around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday after police said that he lost control of his 2003 Toyota on Route 208 in Blooming Grove in Orange County. Dump Truck Overturns, Shutting Down Roadway In Rockland Motorists are being asked to avoid a Rockland County roadway after a crash. South Mountain Road in New City due to an overturned dump truck. The truck driver lost control around 9 a.m., Friday, rolling the vehicle on its side, spilling asphalt all over the roadway, Clarkstown Police said. The road is closed between Old Route 304 and Zukor Road. There were no injuries but the road will be closed for a few hours.

Drowned, Tortured Dog Found In Stamford Marina An emaciated brown pit bull was found was found drowned and tortured by a boater at the Czescik Marina, according to the Stamford Police. The sick discovery was made by a boater in a boat slip at the city-owned marina on Stamford Harbor on Wednesday, said Stamford Sgt. Brian Butler. Butler said the dog's legs were tied together with shoelaces, one lace was around the front legs and a second shoelace was tied around its back legs, he said.
