Police: Ridgefield Man Threatens Victim With Knife In Dispute Over Money At New Canaan Home A 33-year-old man who allegedly threatened another person with a knife during a dispute over money has landed behind bars. Rosbel Sanchez of Ridgefield was arrested early Monday and charged with disorderly conduct and threatening after police found he had threatened the victim over money, said New Canaan Police. Arriving officers found that Sanchez and the victim had an argument over money and at some point he took a knife out of a kitchen drawer and threatened to harm the victim, police said. Well-Known Man Killed After Crashing 1941 Classic Car, CT State Police Say A well-known 75-year-old man was killed when he lost control of the classic car he was driving and was ejected from the vehicle. Arthur Kelly of Southington was driving a 1941 Willys Model 441 on North Main St., in Southington, when he crossed the double yellow lines near Dunkin Donuts and collided with a parked, unoccupied vehicle off the road and shoulder, said Southington Police Sgt. Woman Suffers Seizure While Being Strangled By Boyfriend In Stamford, Police Say Police had to shoot a pit bull during the attempted arrest of a man wanted for a domestic violence assault in which the victim suffered a seizure while being strangled. The incident took place 3 p.m. Sunday when Stamford Police were dispatched to Selleck Street for a report of a serious domestic assault. Westchester Man, 21, Killed In Motorcycle Crash A 21-year-old Westchester man died from injuries suffered in a motorcycle crash on Sunday. Jordan Chin of New Rochelle was killed around 1:54 p.m. Sunday following the crash on Memorial Highway near the North Avenue overpass, according to Capt. Cosmo Costa with the New Rochelle Police Department. Chin, who had been driving a 2002 Yamaha, was found by New Rochelle police off the road near the base of a street light pole, Costa said. Westchester Man Falls To His Death Adjusting Third-Floor Air Conditioner A 56-year-old man reaching to fix his window air conditioner fell to his death in Westchester County. Walker Clark of Mount Vernon fell out a third-floor window around 12 a.m. Friday of an apartment building at 630 Gramatan Ave., said Maria Donovan, spokeswoman for the Mount Vernon Police. Clark was attempting to adjust the air conditioner when he fell more than 30 feet to the ground, Donovan said.

CT State Police Nab NY Stolen Vehicle Suspect With Help Of 'Pinging' Cell Phone A man driving a car stolen in the Hudson Valley was nabbed in Connecticut with the help of a cell phone left inside the vehicle state police were able to "ping" for its location. Connecticut State Poice were notified around 7:40 a.m. Wednesday about a 2011 Nissan Sentra that was stolen during a carjacking in Orange County, and may be heading for the area, according to Connecticut State Police. Wanted Man Nabbed After Side-Swiping Mail Truck, Fleeing In Fairfield A 54-year-old Fairfield man was arrested for several offenses after side-swiping a U.S. Postal truck and then taking off instead of waiting for the police, according to the Fairfield Police. Woman With 159 Bags Of Heroin, Two Others Nabbed In Area Drug Bust Three people were nabbed on drug charges following an investigation by a multi-agency task force working out of Orange County. Conducted by the Port Jervis Police Department, the New York State Police, and the FBI, the task force focused on the sales of crack cocaine and heroin in the City of Port Jervis, officials said. New Bear Sighting Reported: This One In Brewster Bears, bears, everywhere. Or so it seems. Around noon Friday Yorktown police warned of a bear up a tree which prompted Sonia Gelbart to post photos of another bear (or maybe the same, who knows?) she spotted in her Brewster backyard last week. Middletown Man Charged In Wallkill Armed Robbery A Middletown man was nabbed for an armed robbery in Wallkill following an investigation into the crime.Tyquell Graham, 20, was arrested around 5:43 p.m. Wednesday by Town of Wallkill Det. Christopher DiNapoli, said Town of Wallkill Police. The investigation into the Aug. 5 robbery found that Graham displayed a handgun while forcibly removing property from a person who was visiting the Stevens Manor Apartments, police said. Graham was charged with felony robbery, grand larceny, and menacing. He was remanded to Orange County Jail on $50,000 cash/$100,000 bond.
