Three Teens Injured In Serious Rollover Rhinebeck Crash
Three teens were injured, one seriously, during a single-vehicle rollover crash in Dutchess County.
The cash took place around 2:50 p.m. Thursday on Middle Road in Rhinebeck when a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by James Krinitsky, 16, of Red Hook, lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn, said Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Capt. John Watterson.
As a result of the rollover, the front passenger, Christopher Knapp, 16, also of Red Hook, suffered serious head injuries. Krinitsky and another passenger, Louis Lederer, 15, of Red Hook, suffered minor injuries, Watterson said.

Officer Involved Shooting At CVS Parking Lot Under Investigation, State Police Say
Connecticut State Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting that took place in the parking lot of a CVS store.
The shooting took place around 10:30 p.m. Thursday when five officers of the Meriden Police Department's Crime Suppression Unit, began following a Buick Century on West Main Street, said the state police.
As the officers, in an unmarked vehicle, continued to follow the Buick onto I-691 a firearm was discharged from inside the vehicle.

Former Middletown Mayor Gertrude Mokotoff Dies At 100
Former Middletown Mayor Gertrude F. Mokotoff, a 66-year area resident, died at the Orange Regional Medical Center in the Town of Wallkill on Wednesday, Oct.17. She was 100 years old.
The daughter of the late Abraham and Anna Fox, she was born on August 20, 1918, in Brooklyn. She later married her first husband, Reuben Mokotoff, a cardiologist from Manhattan, where they lived until she talked him into moving his practice to Middletown in 1954.
